People just dont know how hard is to play the game as Wlad play it. People say he clinches a lot, but i`m pretty sure the guys say this, they never been on ring, they never box. To be so effective and to "enter" in clinches so successful without being hit its so f**** hard. Wlad use clinches as his tactic and its very effective, but dont you think its that easy, this thing is very, very hard.

    Just to be clear...

Are you seriously trying to simultaneously justify and praise Wlad's initiation of clinching, as a legitimate Boxing skill?

Or are you seriously taking the p.iss and doing so in extremely dry fashion?

Biggest Wlad fan on this board.

But it would take at least 3 of his latest wins to win world titles and defend them multiple times or win multiple titles for him to even get to #2 ATG HW.

Not a Lennox Lewis fan, but he's the GOAT PERIOD.

And for Wlad to top LL and be the GOAT @HW......he'd need to become undisputed, beat 3-4 more undefeated HWs, defend his titles beyond that of Louis, and .......AND.....have 2 or more of his conquests go on to win multiple titles. :think

Right now I have Wlad #5 ATG H2H.......And #4 in general, and that's moving him up 1 from 5 due to what Potvetkin has done in his last 2 fights. :thumbsup

Wlad is going to break the record, and won't get any credit for it unfortunately due to the whole mystique behind Joe Louis... They'll say "everyone he beat sucked" blah blah blah blah, ignoring the fact that Louis had "The bum of the month club" and faced some abysmal competition that make Wlads worst title defenses look great in comparison.

I think you are being unreasonable.

I would vote Wlad as TGE if he beat Joe Louis' record.

He would also have had to unify that last belt.

If Wlad goes to 67-3 and wins the WBC belt and retires, he is #3 All-Time for me.

If Wlad goes 72-3 and wins the WBC belt and retires, he is #1 All-Time for me.

I don't know how he would make #2 in my rankings. Probably would have to go 70-3.

He isn't and will never be!

Partly, it's not his fault, he's never beaten anyone of note because there isn't anyone out there. Where he's at fault is in that he's beaten nobodies and looked boring, bland and simply not exciting in the slightest.

He will never ever ever be rated as an All Time a Great let alone the best ever!

    By who?

He isn't even in the top 20

His style as much as the lack of quality opponents see to it that he will never be an ATG!

At best he's going to hold some trivial records for length of time holding the belt(s) or number of successful defences, a quirk of timing, a man who benefited from being the best of a very bad era!

At worst he'll be remembered for almost single handedly reducing the greatest sporting title to a mere footnote in the sports pages. His monotonous technique, incessant clinching and unwillingness to actualy have a fight mean no ones interested in the Heavyweight Champion of the World anymore. His defences go unnoticed by anyone but his diehard fans, newspapers don't feature or report his fights and TV companies don't broadcast them except in his 'home' countries.

Being an excessive cheater and fouler and never get you in the top 10. It just won't happen.

The Povetkin fight can never be erased. And that was the best guy he fought.

    Is that it?
Is that your response to anyone who doesn't agree with your bloated opinion of Wlad.

What I've said is true, he's a bigger version of the Henry Akinwande that fought Lennox Lewis, the similarities in fighting style are uncanny.
