Who would want to be spectator to that shower of scheit again - one big man having to endure forceful and inappropriate advances from another, bigger deviant man - for twelve rounds?

That version of Povetkin is better than the one that faced Wlad. Still, not enough at this stage I am afraid.

Can you show us a Lewis fight where Lewis steps to his own left and throws a triple left hook combination to KO his opponent?

Wladimir Klitschko did that to Austin.

And whereas I admire Wladdy and his ability with the hook, this was against Ray Austin and thus doesn't count.

The only reason the match was so terrible is because Povetkin is an incredibly limited unintelligent fighter, he made no attempt to adjust and what Wlad was doing was working so why should have stopped, if Povetkin had adjusted and tried to out box Wlad at a distance, he couldn't have, he doesn't have the reach or skills to accomplish that, and it would have probably got him knocked out like Leapai, Wlad would once again destroy Povetkin in the rematch easily.

I'm cool with Wlad-Povetkin II as long as Povetkin gets past the Stiverne/Wilder winner and earns WBC mandatory status first. Until then, I'd honestly rather see the Stiverne/Wilder winner or the Fury/Chisora winner get the shot...assuming Wlad gets past Pulev, of course. Heck, I'd accept a Chagaev-Jennings eliminator over Povetkin right now.

    This right here.
Why the hell would Povetkin fight Wlad again when he has the WBC Silver belt now.
That puts him in the mix to fight for a title he can actually win.

Wlad won't be as merciful as the last time around.
The political context is entirely different now.

    So, breaking that down...

...It was OK for Wlad to foul Povetkin, by continuously holding, pushing him down and leaning on him - because it "was working", leaving Povetkin no choice but to fight from the outside, which he couldn't, because he doesn't have the reach...

What a terrible argument for why it was such a gross spectacle.

You all think Wlad behaved that way on impulse? Don't be crazy.

That was his gameplan and he trained to wrestle like that in camp.

Povetkin had no trouble closing the gap and he most certainly would of pummeled Wlad inside had he not had all his massive 240 pound body resting on his spine.

He got fouled to death every min of every round because Wlad doesn't have anywhere near a 'great jab' and 'control of distance' like his nutjob fans make out.

Wlad would refuse point blank to fight Povetkin with a fair ref.
