no way he has a china chin only person hes ever faced with a punch is a blown up cruiser who had him drugged a few times
No , Ward clinches and fights at the same time. He doesn't have any size advantage to restrict the other guy from getting off like Wlad has. When Ward fought Rodrigeuz, it stared of messy , but once Reiss made them fight clean , E-Rod got his chit pushed in. And E-Rod came in much bigger than Ward that night. When the ref made Wlad fight clean, he got his chit pushed in.
:deal Vitali has proved he doesn't need to break the rules to win , so he would be a factor in any era.
Wladimir wouldve fared pretty well in almost any era (especially pre 1960,)however I don't think he'd be the champion in some of them. I don't see him having much success in the golden era of heavyweights in the 70's. I think he'd manhandle Frazier due to the size disparity, and probably also beat guys like shavers and Norton due to size advantage in those fights as well. However if shavers hits him clean, wlad would absolutely go to sleep. I think foreman beats him up though and a fight with a prime Ali would be a very contrasting style for both guys. I'd cautiously favor Ali over him as well. id also favor a prime Larry Holmes against him. He had good size and I truly believe he'd box Wlads ears off all night, more than likely keeping him at bay with that ridiculously effective jab work. A match I would have loved to seen would be wladimir against a 1986-88 version of mike Tyson. Tyson had the beard to take his shots, and he was very crafty with his head movement to close the distance and get on the inside. I think eventually he would've gotten inside the pocket, and I can't imagine wladimir wouldve been able to take his hooks.
He could lose to the guys you mention, but he could also outbox or smash them up. Nobody could deny his power in either hand is lethal if he lands big first, not to say he couldn't be beaten with a chin that is less than granite.
klits are just too big for the old school guys. even tyson would have problems he would literally have to jump in the air like little mac from mike tysons punch out just to land on their chins.
Giants have fallen to smaller, better fighters throughout boxing history. That said, both Klits in my opinion would be top fighters in any era.
the one fight that comes to mind is jess willard vs dempsey. jess willard was in horrendous shape, so i don't think we can use that as a comparison. the klits are in great shape and have decent skill. now a cracked out tyson almost took lewis out in the second round, it makes me wonder if a 86-88 tyson would be able to take out a klit.....
For the longest time I used to think that Tyson would get trashed by the K bros but I've changed my mind. Tyson is a bad style match up for Wlad and in his prime hes got a shot at Vitali too. I say prime tyson probably would KO wlad
