Are you talking size, or skill? Either way, it doesn't really matter. Ali was still big enough to get the job done. After all, 6'3" is 6'3" regardless of time period. Ali's got a long enough reach, and more than enough speed to match Wlad jab for jab, and displayed far better ring movement throughout his career. Wlad's power and hand-speed makes Ali think for a bit, but his tendency to move back in straight lines and freeze when tagged solidly is something Ali can exploit as a result of having faster hands and punching technique that's equally as good as Wlad's (at least).
klits are clits, fight guys with tits, someone fights back they catch a fit, they can't help it they fight like ****.
Question: Why would Ali defeat Wlad? The Klitschko hater answers: Because Ali won and lost against ATG's! Wlad wins and lose against bums! Question: Fine. Then what defines Alis opponents as ATG's? The Klitschko hater answers: They won and lost against Ali! Who is an ATG! That makes them ATG's as well! And they fought and lost against each others! Even more ATG'status!
This is the irony, "OH BUT WLAD LOST" Yes.. Wlad lost, 7 years ago. You give Calzaghe **** for not losing, You give Wlad **** for losing.
I mean a both. We have never had so skill full super heavyweight than Wladimir Klitschko is..Foreman was in his prime size of Haye and he was (they say a bully) in his time.. it would be a great fight if it could happen
The problem when you look at Ali, he didn't have massive power at heavyweight and most of his KO victories came from wearing down his opponent, so he's consistently going to have to get past the reach of either Klitschko the entire time, wear his fair share of leather - I don't care who you are, if you're giving up that height difference and the angle it brings you will get tagged repeatedly and somehow overcome 35lbs of solid muscle difference in two fighters who are extremely well conditioned and do not have problems fighting 12 rounds. Forget the **** that happened 8-10 years ago because it's been made irrelevant by the fact that both fighters have improved a lot since then, Wladimir has adopted an entirely different style, is much more technically efficient and a lot more relaxed in the ring so you've got a situation where you can judge Wladimir all you want on the Sanders and Purritty fights but ultimately it's like judging Bernard Hopkins on his fight against Clinton Mitchell - or even if we want to draw another correlation, Mohammad Ali losing to Spinks. You can't define either Klitschko based on losses that occured nearly a decade ago when they've not come close to losing since despite between the pair of them, facing every single threat at HW.
Ahem ... lets not get ahead of ourselfes here. Of course Ali is greater then Haye, but in terms of reflexes Haye can compete with as good as anyone. And Hayes power cant be that inferior in comparasion.
Ali and Foreman were very big heavyweight's in their time like was Lewis and Klitschko's also Size does matter
Bretchko starts a ludicrous thread with racial undertones, then doesn't add another post to it in 10 pages. Where is his conviction? He also knocks an inch of Ali's height and forgets to point out the man had a long reach. Something the likes of Byrd and Haye didn't. If Wladimir had problems pinning Haye down, how do you figure he would pin a prime Ali down? Would Ali throw hopeful punches from afar like Haye? No. Would Ali come into a fight with Wlad trying to win throwing one punch at a time? No Would Ali run in order to self preserve just like Haye? No I could go on. People mention Ali's lack of power. But he had respectable power, more than enough to trouble Wlad's whiskers. But his speed of hand and foot would be the key. If Wlad thought Sanders punches were coming at him fast then he would think he was tripping against Ali. Seriously i and a lot of other people on here acknowledge Wlad is an excellent HW, but we also realise he has limitations and glaring flaws in his make up. The likes of which would be highlighted severely by Ali. Bretchko your op is blinded by your lust for little bro. I wonder just how many times a week do you crack one off over little bro?
