Yes, I watched all his fights. He is a featherfist, a notorious clincher, completely lacks defense (no wonder he got Parkinsons), got some tight decisions and is way overrated, I mean come on... what do you think about a boxer (Ali) whose greatest wins are against

    • a half-blind (Frazier was blind on 1 eye his entire life).
    • a 45 year old light heavyweight (Archie Moore, actually 47.9 year old since Moore lied about his age),
    • Sonny Liston, who fought only 2 non-bum 200+ opponents before facing Ali, and never won a 200+ title fight, moreover admitted he made a dive against Ali
    • George Foreman who as Ali's trainer admitted was drugged. They should have deleted the win over Foreman from Ali's record.
Ali lost against Holmes, Berbick and Norton. These were some of Ali's better opponents. And against Spinks. Spinks! Bummy featherfisty china chin Spinks. He was very far away from dominating his opponents.

With a few exceptions his fights are bore to watch. He clinches all the time, insults his opponents. Cannot keep them away. Rope-a-dope against Foreman (until Foreman gassed) was his only chance.

In his career he had 26 fights against non-bum heavies (200+) out of which KOed only 8 within 12 rounds, while losing 4. Yaaaawn.

He would lose against every better modern heavy.

He is not as much overrated as Marciano, but he is definitely overrated. I realize that he fought BIG NAMES. But they are big names mainly because Ali fought them.

Yes, yes, "worst post ever", "fail", "Ignorant post"". But you know what? I actually watch the fights and I actually check the real down-to-earth record.

This is not true. I admit that Austin has not as many good performances as Golota, but Golota lost nearly all his fights against better opposition: Lost to Brewster, Ruiz, Lennox, Mike Tyson (later changed to NC), Grant, Bowe. Draw against Byrd.

And what are his wins? Mollo UD10, Norris UD10, Witherspoon UD10.

    I remember you.
    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

You once tried telling me that Archie Moore was a feather-fisted bum who only beat a handful of non-bums! In the same breath, you told me Wlad beat like 25 non-bums!

You are a funny wind-up artist.

This is not true. Archie Moore is in no way a bum. However he fought a lot of bums. Moreover his non-bum fights are mainly below 200, going down as low as 153, which you can hardly consider significant to compare to modern heavies.

I don't really want to go into an argument about Golota, the guy has such a checkered history and the mental fortitude of straw. He could be the best fighter and worst fighter in the same night. So why don't we save ourselves the trouble of getting all wound up over this.

I won't go into that since that is completely offtopic. However I simply didn't like the expression that "Austin is a ****ing nobody compared to Golota". The main reason why Golota is "somebody" is because he fought against big names, not because he WON against them.

Whereas Austin fought no big names.

Golota beat Bowe to a pulp twice. He was a good fighter, just a delicate nutcase.

By the way that grave is getting deeper by the second.

Okay, but you did call him 'feather fisted'.

Humor me! Can you please provide me with a list of the 'non-bums' Wlad beat? Also, please provide me with a list of non-bums that Ali and Lewis beat. Thanks.

Golota lost twice to Bowe, but few would argue against the fact that he twice dominated the best heavyweight on the planet at that time.

When Lewis beat Golota, Golota was one of the three best heavyweights in the world.

If you still think that all of those belts mean something, then you are worse off than I thought.
