Lennox was great. He's gone. Seriously, let's give someone else a chance to win respect.. Wlad deserves a fair shake here. Can you find it in you?
Absolutely yes. However as long as Klit-ites keep coming up with foolish **** like 'WALDO KO'd Mercer and Lewis didn't' then I'll be right here firing artillery back, which seems fair enough to me.
:happy I'm a big fan of Lennox and seriously believe that he'd destroy Wlad but c'mon, give the man a chance. He's doing all he can....and doing it well.
That's a ridiculous statement. Maybe Lennox was losing but he sure as hell didn't 'lose' as you put it.
Oh and WALDO lost to Sanders for every minute of every round. Corrie ****ing Sanders, a fat, over the hill golfer.
Corrie really didn't start taking the fight to Wlad until about a minute left in the first when he caught him with that big straight left as Wlad got lazy for a second backing up. Before that Sanders was actually just backing along the ropes.... clearly setting traps. Luckily for Vitali, he got to see what Sanders gameplan was when he fought Wlad, because he was prepared for it.. Wlad wasn't. Even with Vitali prepared for it, Corrie still caught him a good one in the first. The man was sneaky as hell, fast, and powerful. You can't take that sort of fight on short notice, and go into the ring completely unprepared for what is coming at you. Wlad will never make that mistake again. Wlad said after his losses that he admits it is much easier to say that you aren't going to take someone lightly, than it is to put that hard work into your training every day, when you don't think that you will be challenged in the fight. I think that he has clearly taken the path of being completely ready, and respectful of every single opponent that he has faced since. There is an obvious difference. If you watch him against Sanders, he was absolutely clueless as to what Sanders' bread and butter was. Hell, you can watch a training video of Sanders and see how often he works on laying against the ropes, setting traps, and catching someone as he springs off. Also, Wlad was clearly not the fighter that he is today. He had offensive skills as always, but he had no clue what to do when adversity struck, when he was buzzed, when his opponent was on the attack and he had to neutralize him, ect.... Now he does. What do you feel about Sanders saying that Lennox Lewis admitted to him over the phone that he avoided Sanders?
Who cares? Wlad is a fine, fine boxer. Ok, he's no Lennox Lewis but he's the best around at the moment....apart from his brother
