Tripple LOL, come again, who the F did Rahman or McCall ever f'n beat ? Who the F did Mercer ever beat ? Tommy Chin ? The Italian Cabdriver Francescina ? But let the Tommies have their place in the sun with Lewis. You can take it to the bank once VK dusts Haye into the orbit the Tommies Lewis apologists are coming out like the Mongols to elavate their Hero, who BTW, is the only champ in history who not only got waxed once but twice by absolute ham and eggers with ONE shot. That fact will stand as long as the world rotates.
I can imagine Lewis throwing THAT punch he hit Rahman with in their 2nd fight (when he was in good shape).....man, Wlad wouldn't have ever got up! Any in-shape version of Lennox destroys Wlad IMO.
Minor mis-type. I meant to say Mathis. As i told you, i'm done here. Just needed to clear the Mathis/Ellis mix-up. The rest of your post is near complete shyte and full of internal contradictions. Your grasp of the subject is pitiful. Typing a quote with no source is hardly proving something. For the final time, at no time did Liston claim any improprietY regarding his bouts with Clay/Ali. This bit is hilarious. You found the one and only Vitali victory that went 12. And the score was 120-108. Sanders ? Compare Wlad and Vitali. Peter? Compare Wlad and Vitali. Can you imagine prime (or even current) Vitali taking 12 rounds to dispatch the Sultan? I thought not. I'm a fan of both, but there's NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER which is the bigger, meaner tougher brother with the better chin and the deadlier KO ratio. Good thing for Wlad he'll never have to face that test !
Wladmir would not give lennox the same kind of problems that Vitali did and i could see lennox stopping Wlad in 3 rounds
It seems most people here started watching boxing like in 2002 or 2003. Lewis really started being regarded as the dominant champ after he beat Tyson. People also forget that when he defeated Holyfield in the rematch it was regarded as controversial by many people at the time and Holyfield was regarded as past his prime. Before these fights Lewis was thought of as boring and vulnerable. 80% of people though Tyson would knock him out in 2 rounds.
Most of the posts here are unrealistic. Posts like Lewis KOs Klitschko in 1 round or that Lewis had a poor resume and fought nobody. I think this fight is very even, maybe a slight advantage to Lewis 55-45. One thing to notice is that Lewis had a great jab and a longer jab than Wlad 84" to 82" Klitschko, so he could match Wlad in the jab contest although I think Klitschko has a slightly better jab. Their right hands are deadly. Lewis's advantages would have to be in the uppercut and combination punching but I doubt he would use any against Wlad it would be a cautious fight of jabs and seldom right hands. Btw Lewis's resume is very good. If you simplify everything the way Widdow did then you could **** on anybody's resume.
Lewis (IMO) is a top 5 HW of all time. Wladimir might scrape into the top 20 if he's lucky. Styles make fights and Lewis would beat him in that department. Everything points to a Lewis win over Wlad, who I believe to be overrated. No way would Wlad have fought Lewis anyway, he would've got his big brother to do it for him like he did when he lost against Sanders and likehe is now doing with Haye. Haye vs. Wlad has been built up for ages, and now what? Vitali has stepped in. Because Wlad knows Haye comes to fight and has the power to stop him.
Yes, yes, insults. I have backed up all my claims with quotes and stats. You are merely insulting. My god first you say that XYZ is a lie, then I give you quotes now you complain that you cannot google them, or what? For the final time, he did. And the only time when Vitali had to face someone taller than him. I gave this example because Wlad is taller then Lennox, thus it's not the typical smaller opponent of Lennox that indeed can get floored within 3 rounds. Byrd? Compare Wlad and Vitali. Moreover Wlad is now much more experienced than at the Sanders fights. Vitali was so successful because Peter's chin hasn't been the same since Wlad cracked it. We don't know. Vitali has too little good opponents on his record to be sure how he would perform against a back-leaning southpaw. The last time he fought against one (Byrd) he lost because he broke his shoulder (because of Byrd's flexibility). And Sultan is a better hitter than Byrd AND CAN go 12 rounds (as opposed to Corrie Sanders who puffs after a few). That said: The Sanders vs Vitali fight is one of the best in heavyweight history.
Unfortunately Holyfield IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER has only 13 KOs in heavyweight fights. ALL of these KOed opponents were 6'3'' and smaller, except for overweight/untrained Buster Douglas (6'3.5''). Holyfield in the 1980ies: 5 KOs against 200+ opponents Holyfield in the 1990ies: 6 KOs against 200+ opponents (of 18 fights -> featherfist) Holyfield in the 2000ies: 2 KOs against 200+ opponents (of 13 fights -> featherfist) I DON'T SEE ANYTHING in his arsenal to DESTROY WLAD. If you think that Bowe (who could KO Holyfield) is STRONGER than Wlad, then you are mistaken. Wlad would be Holyfield's TALLEST opponent by the way. Taller than Lennox or Bowe (6'5'').
