how would that happen when wlad doesnt even make it to round 7?i quite like wlad but lewis would spark him.
when lewis had to shine, he shined in spectacular destructive fashion. wladimir on the other hand is fighting easier opponent and is looking less destructive than lennox. it's quite clear to see that they have similar sort of styles, but lennox is just the better out of the two, and that's also quite clear to see.
:deal This. Right here. You think Wlad would scare Lewis in the same way he does most of his current opponents? Lewis is the same size as Wlad, hits just as hard, has just as good a jab (probably more accurate), has a better right hand and a much better inside game. He's also got a bigger reach than Wlad, so that jab-jab-jab **** wouldn't work; for the first time in his career Wlad would understand what that felt like from the other end. It wouldn't look anything like any of the fight's Wlad's had so far. All Wlad's natural advantages would either be completely neutralized or even reversed. Wlad's patented "Keeping them at range" method simply wouldn't work as he's inside Lewis' natural range to start with. And then what's he got to fall back on? Beat Lewis on the inside? No chance. The trouble with the current heavyweight division is that there are very good fighters and there are very big fighters, but the Klitschkos are the only ones who are both very good and very big. They're rather lucky in that respect. Just because there's nobody who matches them at the moment doesn't mean there never has been.
you don't even need to be big to beat wladimir. most of wladimir's losses are by smaller men that punch hard. if you punch hard, and you land on wladimir's chin, then he's going down. lennox punches hard, and he's better, so that's not good for wlaidmir. early knockout. michael grant style.
Vladimir?? lol. ****ing jokers. Is this the same Vlad who Sam Peter slapped around for a bit! Morons. Lewis is an ATG. I resepct Vitali as he is a strong chinned MF, strong due. Vladimir is **** and can only dominate ****ing cans. Put him in there with someone who is actually a good fighter and the MF gets laid out. Glass chinned and overhyped.
That's true, but you've got to give some good credit to Wlad, I think. He's analyzed what he's bad at, analyzed where his weaknesses are, and over the last few years has worked really hard at perfecting a style and technique that minimizes the risk while maximizing his effectiveness. That's not 'boring'; it's called being a damned good boxer. People just run too far with it, though. The idea that he smokes Lewis is uninformed at best and bat****-ridiculous at worst.
wladimir has a very good hard jab. the problem with his jab sometimes is he does have a habit of leaving his arm out extended too long, and that could be countered, but apart from that, he has a brilliant jab. his right hand is excellent when he throws it, and his hook is not bad either. wladimir is not a bad boxer, but he's only good when he's coming forward. all his flaws get exposed when he gets hit hard on the chin. when he gets hit hard, his body just gets sapped from all it's energy as his legs totally go, and his clinching is awful, he totally miss times those, and it looks like a panic grab more than anything. yep, great on the front foot, **** on the back foot. if wladimir had an inside game he wouldn't be so bad, but instead of landing hard uppercuts, he grabs. shame, because he would look so much more impressive if he fought like that. i see a fighter like haye exploiting those survival flaws.
This fight was supposed to get made. Unfortunately, Wlad ran into Corrie Sanders. This content is protected
Sorry to get in the way of yet another racist rant, but; 1) Vitali's corner were pulling him out, regardless of any of "Lewis' doctor" 2) If you actually watch the last 20-30 seconds of round 6, Vitali is clinging on for dear life, Lewis bombs him with uppercuts, for some reason the HBO commentary see it the other way, but it's clear as day on camera. 3) Regardless of all that, Lewis won the fight fair and square anyway.
If Lewis had just stepped out of the way following his uppercut on Vitali, the elder Klitschko would've toppled over and never got back up. Fortunately for him he was facing a lump, so just fell onto him and kept himself up. In short, Vitali couldn't beat the Lennox that Rahman sparked.
