Like Lewis, Wlad will probably be better perceived once he retires............taking into account that he won't suffer any more embarrasing losses (losing to Sanders, Purrity and Brewster is worse than losing to Rahman and McCall IMO, especially when you need your big brother to avenge one of those losses for you and one of those guys had more losses than wins)

Wlad is a good fighter. He has exceptional skills and jab; I think the people who rate Bruno's jab higher do so because he implemented it against a better calibre of fighter.

he also proved his punch resistane against better punchers.

In a H2H matchup prime for prime (the Bruno that fought Tyson the first time against the Wlad that fought Chagaev) I have no doubt that Bruno would stop Wlad early.

You think that Bruno who was KO'd by Tyson in 4 or 5 easily stops the Wlad that didn't lose a second against Chagaev? Of course you're entitled to you're opinion, I'm just shocked that anyone would have that opinion.

Admitedly, people complained about the quality of the heavyweight division, from the era of the fighters Ruskull just mentioned.

However this present moment seems particularly poor with the collapse of heavyweight boxing in America and the unexceptional quality of some of the Eastern European fighters- Klitschkos excepted.

****ing idiot Brit talkign about nut huggery, gtfo..

If Wlad had a shot like Lennox to Rahman's chin would have been carried away with Strecthers.

Holmes' jab was 10 times more effective than WALDOS and probably harder also.

    Why?

    Because Holmes had excellent technique.

    Something the Klit lacks.

I have to say, while I know how much fun it is messing with the Klit-loonies, some of you are being a bit unfair. Wlad does hit very, very hard and his jab is excellent. I was very impressed by him when he beat Chagaev, that was no pawing jab, it was heavy. Wlad is frustrating because he's cautious, I understand that. He doesn't throw a great variety of punches and is happy to wait for the ko to come. It can lead to dull fights but really there isn't a great depth of competition out there good enough to make a fight of it. There's his brother, who he won't fight and.....well th's about it. I do think he should have gone for Valuev and should do if he beats Haye, it would be interesting to see if he gets more aggressive against a man who can (more than) match him for height and reach(?).

Bruno did overall fight better competition than Wlad. Young Tyson and young Lewis alone eclipse everybody on Wlad's record put together. Bonecusher Smith was as good as anybody Klitschko ever beat. It's unfortunate for Wlad, no real defining wins, the standouts are Peter and an ancient Mercer-which was impressive at the time, considering he was on the way up, I'd predicted a points win.

I disagree. Bowe was better, especially when it comes to in-fighting...

    And EXACTLY when was that?

The Ring Magazine belt along with the alphabet trinkets are ALL meaningless. Belts, sanctioning mobs, and shitty magazines do NOT make a champion.

The same applies to the Klitchko sisters.

Right, like he KOd Bean or Ruiz inside of 4? Oh wait that didn't happen.

Oh I am sorry, then Holyfield wasn't in his prime anymore, right...:lol::lol: Holyfield is only in his prime when he won fights. Whenever he looked bad he wasn't in his prime again.

Guy like you will always find an excuse.

When he destroyed Douglas in 3 or went life and death with a big, highly-skilled and IRON CHINNED heavy in Bowe.

I guess they had 'weight problems'???
