 In most other eras most of the guys where in fact CRUISERWEIGHTS ! You realize DAVID HAYE is bigger then LISTON and would have in all likly hood beaton 180 pound FLOYDE just as easy . LOUIS was forced to fight fat bartenders when most of his title stint was marred by the fact that the WORLD was at war . DITO for DEMSEY ect ect . If you think this is the weakest era then you know nothing about boxing history and everthing about spewing the status quo !

Peters is pulling in his gut big time for the Photo.
Chageve is pre hepatitas looks well fat now and when he fought Wlad.

That picture of Briggs was NOT from the 90's. Only someone who doesn't follow boxing wouldn't know that Briggs has been ripped even more now than he was in the 90's, and even all the way up until the Vitali fight.

Peter was in GREAT shape when he fought Wlad, you can't "pull in" a sloppy fat gut and create abs. Is this your first day as a human?

Chagaev was fat when he fought Wlad?

Really? So that's how much you follow the sport of boxing? Why do you even bother posting here? This is "fat"?

Haye and Byrd are cruisers? David Haye is about the same Size as prime George Foreman. Not good enough to be a heavyweight? I bet that isn't what you say when the "fantasy matchup" threads come around. Chris Byrd weighs around the same as prime Ali as well. It also happened to be good enough to easily outbox David Tua who people use as an example of the "great contenders" from the past generation who would be champs today. I am sure you use that ******ed logic too without visiting reality first.

McCline was in "OK shape" you guess?

Clearly there isn't any point in responding to you further. You don't have a clue.

Wlad fought them? And as far as Austin is concerned, Wlad could have beaten that dude with one hand...wait, he did!

There was a great analysis done on British TV before the Haye fight about how Wladimar keeps using his front leg like a barrier to his opponents offense. I didn't understand it until I watch his fight with Chageav, he was like afraid of getting kneed on the balls coming in.

    Wlad's best asset?

    His brother.

He's taken on the competition Wlad didn't fancy, made sure Wlad didn't have to win all the belts himself and made it acceptable for Wlad not to take on the second best fighter of his era.

Try watching the fights. It's very clear that the skill level at heavyweight is at an all time low, to even argue the point is a fools errand.

As for Wlad's biggest strength, i think it's his athletacism for his size. He is quick of hand, snaps his punches and his all round movement is good.
