Wow I think that is a little light for Wlad at this stage in his career. I would of expected around 247 but I am sure his team knows what they are doing.
Pretty sure his American fans will be watching, as will all Jennings fans as well. Wlad's pretty popular in rural America, and Jennings is VERY popular due to his social media interaction with his fans. Im sure HBO will do at least 2 mil, which is not bad, but in Europe it's gonna be like 3 AM so, Im sure the Euro, Eastern Bloc audience won't be as large as it could be. Probably 12-15 mil world wide.:think
OK, but an American fighting for THE heavyweight championship of the World, in America, should be huge in the US, and not just for boxing, but for sport as a whole. You should be talking Super Bowl type magnitude, so it just shows how far off the radar heavyweight boxing has fallen.
Only people on boxing forums know about this fight. The HW championship was once known by every man , woman and child. The Champions League Final was small time in comparison.
It's the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! The GREATEST TITLE in the world. Maybe you should follow another sport.
The poster you quoted correctly stated that most people in the US don't care for this fight. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if only 1 out of 1000 Americans knew that there is a fight this week for THE heavyweight championship of the world. The way I feel about this fight is irrelevant and won't change anything. But to answer your question: yes, this fight is meaningless to me and I am not even sure if I am going to watch it.
