About time Vittles fell out of that spot. In 2 weeks, he'll be gone from Boxrec rankings due to inactivity. The WBC Heavyweight Champion will be unranked by Boxrec. Has this ever happened before, the champion been out for so long, he's not even on those rankings?

Btw, Vittles should definitely vacate, or be given Champion Emeritus standing, and install Stivernne as Champion. Have Tony Thompson and Wilder fight for a **** at the title held by Bermanne. I doubt I'll get anyone to agree with me, but c'mon now! After everything the WBC has done for Vittles, then to just hold that belt hostage?? I want some Heavyweight Championship fights! What's the point of having 2 champions if only one fights??

I am a big Vitali fan but, I agree with this strongly. He can't even guarantee when he will be ready to fight in 2014 so he is holding the belt hostage.

While Vitali was active I did actually appreciate boxrec recognizing him as #1 because he is the better boxer in the family by a considerable margin.

That's a matter of opinion, I like Wlad a lot more, but if he was doing this same thing, I'd say the exact same thing. I just want to see fights! Especially Heavyweight Title fights!

The only reason Vitali was ahead was because they took away a whole bunch of points from Wlad (probably as a rescoring method) but not Vitali. Finally they subtracted a whole bunch of points from Vitali a few days ago.

Boxers are taken off box rec literally the day after a year passes from their last fight.

What I don't get is why on their "all time list" which is only "inactive" or retired boxers that modern boxers rank so low. David Haye is #148 behind guys who have records like 34 and 22. Maybe the system is skewed that way because boxers way back then would be fighting people who had tons of fights and wins.

    Anyone know if that's right?

Maybe Boxrec suffers from rose-coloured glasses syndrome like so many olden days time fans do?

Ha, they're not supposed to. Here's another example.

    Fireman Jim Flynn, #80.

47 wins and 41 losses 23 of which by KO.

This guy is ranked #80 heavyweight of all time? WTF?

Does not matter, boxrec can't keep Vitali from knocking out Stiverne and he will knock Stiverne out, no doubt about it. Explain how Wilder got ranked in the top ten without fighting anyone ranked? Yet, some want Wilder installed as the WBC champion without even fighting anyone, just give it to him. Vitali has proven himself, Wilder has not...........

But Vittles isnt fighting. I'd like to see TT and Stivernne fight for vacant title personally.

Wladimir is No 1. And now box rec is right.

Vitali get his points reducted like Wlad a while ago which makes Vitali No. 1.

    Wlad is The Champ.

Like he should be. Wlad has been #1 for many years now, and Boxrec only looked less trustworthy changing up Wlad's and Vitali's positions a while back.

The Boxrec scoring method is very flawed though.
It's not just the rose tinted glasses thing for greyscale and newspaper decision kinda fighters, their entire scoringsystem has a couple of very weird flaws. And it's pretty obvious it's a British site too.

Wladimir will never be the undisputed heavyweight king till his brother gives up the sport.

The WBC should give Vitali 2 weeks to agree on a fight Date with Stiverne.
Otherwise Vitali should get the champion emeritus status and Stiverne get's the belt.

Stiverne should fight the winner of Arreola vs Michtell before the end of the year
