Yes, it really is. You won't get many replies though because its not sensational or outragious. Mostly trolls, haters and those who react to them on here (I'm guilty also). Maybe there is more people with decent perspective and boxing knowledge on here...

 

Who were some movers, counter-punchers, and southpaws Lewis could have fought? He would have beaten Byrd, who was a southpaw. Golota was a mover who had a great jab. Holyfield is a counter-puncher.

 

Golota was a mental midget who was also stopped 3 times in 1 round in his career. Whilst he was light on his feet for a big man he was also upright with very little movement at the waist when under fire..... a mover yes but not exactly hard to hit.

Byrd is the one fighter who Lewis seems to avoided. Instead of Byrd Lewis went on to fight much lesser fighters in Botha, Grant hell he was even going to fight Kirk Johnson yet Byrd didn't deserve a match.

I think Lewis would have beaten Byrd, but it's not a style in which he'd look good.

 

Lewis is much bigger and stronger than Byrd. He would have stopped Byrd. Byrd didn't have the power to trouble Lewis, either.

 

Not disagreeing with you, but Lewis would have looked awful doing it. I think he would have got him out there in the late rounds once Byrd began to tire unless Lewis leans on him and pushed him down if they clinch which he did often.

All I'm saying is outside of Holyfield I would consider Byrd to be a favourite over all of Lewis' opponents in his title reign.

Plus my mate had a interview with Lewis once he'd retired in which in it he says he hated fighting southpaws as he could never either get out of the way of their punches of land his own on them it was one of the two and I'm wondering whether this is part of why they never fought.
