.. No way. Vitali and Arreola sold out Staples (18,000) largely with Mexican American fans. Wlad is far less popular out here than either Cris or Vitali. I'm not hating on the guy, but I've lived my entire life in California. There is no way Wlad draws fans out here unless he fights Cris with an undercard full of local, preferably Hispanic fighters.
No not because Lewis fights the same way to Sanders, because Lewis would rip Wladimir with shots on the inside.
Wlad fights similar to Lewis in that his tall has a good jab and a strong right hand, but that's where the similarities end. Nowhere near identical.
Classy as always. Would have been better if they had more time, so that Jim wouldn't have had to keep cutting in.
Wladimir has better defense, imo, than Vitali does...and Wladimir hits harder. So if Arreola comes forward in the same manner that he did against Vitali, Arreola will be out of there before the 7th round. That's my prediction.
I could easily see that happenning. That would be an action packed affair by Wlad standards; a fight that actually entertains the audience. It would be nice to see Wlad in one of those. Of course, I will be rooting for Cris, but an action packed heavyweight championship fight will benefit all of boxing no matter who wins.
I was at the lewis fight, which also sold out, an if i remember there was alot of whites there as at the chirs vs vitali fight, but yes mexicans bought the 100 dollar ticket. But both vitali an wlad do good in big citys, just because there are lot eastern european there. that being said, i would not be suprised if chris would of built some more hype that they could not go to where USC plays, have cheap tickets an sell 40,000 seats starting $25, would it sell out. maybe not, but it would be cool just to see how many did sell. more then likly this will never happen, but a vegas show down would be great
That must have been a great night, even if your guy didn't win. Abraham had a ton of supporters when he fought Ward at the Home Depot Center (I felt outnumbered at times), so I know the Easter Euros support their guys. The Coliseum holds a ton of people. I would definitely go to that fight.
:good I agree. I like how Arreola has been preparing recently too. He's been very active and trying to get in better shape. I don't know why more fighters don't stay more active like he has unless they're on an elite level
What a Great Champion in and outside the ring. . Now if only "some" of those fans that say they admire Wlad could actually be more like him with his virtues.
"What's his name? David Haye." :rofl Dang, Wlad's still bitter. Thanks for posting. I rely on you guys for stuff like this. Dude...come on. You're being decieved. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=383026
I didn't watch, but I know Wlad is pure class. No need to check what has already been confirmed throughout the years.
Wlad is extremely comfortable being interviewed, even when comfronted with questions that address criticisms.
