pulev and pianeta are the norm of wlads opponents. these guys are not even real contenders, they've never had to beat anyone to get their manufactured title shot. PUlev was getting destroyed by a 40something in his title eliminator before his opponent gassed out! Now a 40something nobody wouldn't be top twenty in other eras...but in K bro era it gets you a title shot....

Tyson fury is just another one of these buffoons - his best win is that fool Del boy guy. How on earth does beating a journeyman put you in line for a title shot?

BINGO! Povetkin will knock out Dempsey, Wach will crush Jack Johnson, And Pulev will be a nightmare for anyone including Joe, Tunney, MARCIANO etc. Also it helps to add that American competitors at that time period were only competing among themselves, there was no diversity in elite boxers, the boxing infrastructures of foreign countries were not up to par with that of the United States at those earlier time periods.

 

Adamek solid but smallish HW. Haye is/was likely the better of the 2. About equal to Chambers.

Briggs, tough as hell, powerful, but slow of foot and slower of hand. Wlad would have beaten him to death, rather than simply into a coma.

Solis. Nice pre-title shot run, but blimped out after his KO1 loss.

Chisora. Journeyman without Purrity's chin or power. But equal in overall skill.

Charr/Sosnoswki....solid Euro level contenders. But no better than Wach or Pianeta.

KJ......Second best jab in this era at that time, to Wlad's. Would have been exciting watching Wlad 1-2 him for 12 rds.:-(

Arreola....Yeah, would have been a good fight when Arreola was younger and in "decent" shape. Of all Vitali's "FILTERS", young undefeated Arreola would have had the best chance at beating Wladimir.

JCG.....woulda been a solid name on Wlad's resume. But would have lost just the same, maybe faster to Wladimir.

And now, ONTO Wilder's deflecting of challengers.

While it's a nice thing to look at, it isn't an accurate barometer of the quality of a fighter. To my knowledge, none of those guys fought each other before fighting Wlad. That in itself doesn't mean a whole lot, but if 1 had lost to the other, would that suddenly have made him any less of a fighter? Would it have made the winner any more of a quality fighter? Numbers are great, but they never tell the whole story.

Just ruminating. Don't mind me. I'll see myself out.

Nice try, but Sanders is the only fighter to ever legitimately knock Vitali Klitschko down in a professional boxing match.

He also had Rahman beat before he gassed, so in viewing those two fights, prior to seeing him in vs Wlad, it would be a tossup in hindsight.

And if Wlad had the hindsight in mind, he would have likely maintained better range and never got inside the Sniper's own range, until he gassed that is.:good
