I saw Mavrovic beat the crap out of Lewis. You have not seen all of Lewis' fights have you? Rahman I? McCall I? Ignorance and name calling rules for some.
GTF OUT OF HERE CLOWN. And regarding this: "If Wlad fights Corrie now, Sanders will get whooped." Really? Really dumbass? Really? Wlad would whoop that 43 year old retired ass? Is that what he'd do? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! YOU mean he'd clutch and hold and paw and hold to avoid Corrie's punches and struggle and panic to a boring ass decision don't you? Don't bother mentioning any ATGs (and doofus Ali wasn't KOd - his corner ended the fight in the 10th when he was 39 years old against a 31 year old Larry Holmes who was a pretty fair opponent), just use your eyes and ask yourself how talented or untalented the Klits look in those first rounds versus Sanders (this isn't against prime Ali, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, or Lewis but 37 & 38 year old semi-retired Corrie Sanders). That is all the perspective you need in evaluating them against the bar set by the greatest who have participated in this sport. Lennox Lewis did EVERYTHING better than the Klitschkos with the same relative size. You might want to ask yourself which great fighters you've seen Klitschko fight to demonstrate his excellence. In another generation when great big men have finally decided to pursue boxing again their limitations as athletes will come into clearer focus. Right now some can't see the forest for the trees. Wlad is just a far, far less talented version of Lennox Lewis in the aggregate. I understand why little "white" boys would be hungry for a heavyweight boxing hero. But, being WHITE myself, I don't think we need to ignore the lousy comp, the existence of GREAT large athletes active on this planet, and what our eyes tell us about their level of excellence to deny what is pretty damn evident/obvious. Stats often don't mean ****. It is the comp you face that proves your merit. These are the "war years" when the able-bodied men where fighting elsewhere. The Klits are the best of the **** that remains. They are not the evolutionary apex you want to believe. Just watch them. Nothing more is needed. They are NOT the best athletes on the planet. Not even CLOSE. If you can't assess or see that you must be one f*cking crappy non-athlete yourself. That would go far in explaining why you see greatness where others see merely the most fit/best conditioned heavyweights employing the most size to their advantage in the division today. Though I won't rule out you just being a complete and total idiot. Plenty of those around.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Care in the community is a great thing but they shouldn't let you sorts anywhere near sharp objects or a keyboard. Lewis TKO6 Vit Klit
:good Good god that was a great post, I feel the same way buddy. I think talent and condition, as well as enertainment wise, this decade ranks up there as one of the worst. I remember just a few years back on HBO Larry Merchant would say stuff like "Wake me up when it's over" or when he cried out "Joe Louis where are you", which were all in reference to how bad the division is. I dont know, the 2000's Heavyweights lack talent and personality. No wonder why most of the young guys are getting into the UFC, the Heavyweight division is about as exciting as sitting for jury duty.
Well said BUT, your wrong, wlad to me is a great athlete, an if you don't recongize it, then you spend to much time drooling over the NBA players,,,Wlad moves around the ring better then most lighter weight fighters, those NBA players you do love, wlad with his athletic skills, could of been a great NBA player, if you don't see his athletism, your the one that must be lacking.
You need to visit a training camp in the US and watch the pros. You are quite wrong. There are hundreds of superior athletes in the NFL/NBA that are 6'5" to 6'8" that are quicker, more agile, stronger, and faster than the comparatively clumsy Klitschko brothers. The Bros are more fit and better conditioned than what they compete against. They are no where near what you believe relative to the best big athletes on the planet. The Klitschkos are good not great athletes.
Log off. :blood They would be scraping Waldo off the canvas after Lewis finished with him. Also, without getting into another Lewis - Klitschko debate I havea trump card, which owns every one of your "what if" resoning. Lewis TKO 6. :deal
i have been watching football (american) my whole life, i watched basketball for a good part of my life, i know when i see a good athlete, i know what good foot movement is, an wlad has it, wlad is under a diffrent kind of pressure then NBA player, so clumsy to you is being well balanced to a person that can make the tranlation from the diffrent sports, labron james will look clumpsy when under pressure while being punched at, an has to move around to land a punch. I not going to break it down for you but it is diffrent. With wlad frame an athletic skills i could see him being a great NFL/NBA player,
Sorry, don't see it to the extent you do. I played college baseball at a top university. I still play basketball weeekly against small-college athletes. I just don't see the fast twitch muscle fiber performance in the Klitschkos that I have seen in many equal sized athletes. I don't believe he could have been anything more than a Phil Jackson level player (generously attributed). That is mediocre on that level.
Wlads got great reflexes, an he is 33 now, you have not notice his quick hand speed, his left hook, is extremly fast, the acuracy with power combined with speed. Keep in mind wlad been training for this sport, he not training to steel balls, which with his hands speed, he should be great at it. Lewis looked clumsy at times, at what level do you find lewis in athletic talent
I found it quite a boring fight and was annoyed that Chagaev did not attack or charge Wlad more. Basically it must be really frustrating to have that long jab in your face. Wlads safety first Jabathons until the opponents soften up are getting a bit long in the tooth now. However, he is the best heavyweight in the world and on that performance Haye would have not stood a chance.
