    :deal :deal :bbb

It's sad that many people are missing out on watching an all time great because they are blinded by some sort of
dream for a Tyson like figure to come on the scene.

What Wladimir does inside the ring is total domination of his opponents...and outside the ring he's a great role model.
Really one of the best ambassadors for the sport we could ever have.

Shouldn't be hard in that shite division.

Wladimir Klitschko wouldn't survive in one of the top heavyweight eras.

The problem- and you already know it

...is that Wlad can be a human wrecking machine, and when he did this against the Mclines and Mercers and the others, he was a top draw, he was the HBO main event, floyd mayweather and castillio fought on his undercard.

He was really well liked and appreciated.

His style change - changed all that.

But make no mistake, he can take risks and win fights early, maybe not against someone like Haye but certianly aginst recent competition.

    He just wont do it.

It's frustrating as hell. It's also killing what he COULD be earning.

    "Boring" is your opinion.

Yes, 1 round "Tyson style" knockouts are exciting, no doubt.

However, they usually leave me feeling as if something is missing.
I personally enjoy seeing the domination, the slowly breaking down
of a fighter. I enjoy seeing fighters figure each other out over a few
rounds, and see how they both adjust (or don't adjust).

Another way to put it is that the entire week of the fight I'm excited.
I look forward to the press conference on Monday, the open workout
    on Wednesday, and the weigh-in.

Going through all of this build up for a 1-round knock out....that's kind
of a let down to me.

I enjoy the true art of boxing.

That's me. My opinion is that it's not boring at all.

Wladimir tried the wrecking ball attitude, he was knocked out by Purritty for **** sakes.

Wladimir does not have the chin or the durability to last in wars, he knows it, his brother knows it and Manny Steward KNEW it. Hence his style.

He's a great technical boxer who always has the physical advantages. If he fought the last great big man Lennox Lewis, he would not last 5 rounds. His brother would also stop him.

Volos best performance to date was his fight against Ray Mercer.

He was almost perfect there, and I'd watch that version of Wladimir any day of the week.

Tyson was boring. Knocking out no-hopers in one or two rounds. His antics made it exciting but also destroyed US boxing for years to come.

People praise Rigo for his performance against Donaire but the same people say Wlad is 'boring' :patsch

I love this place. Also Haye 'boxing off the back foot' against Valuev was 'masterful' and 'a boxing lesson' :rofl:patsch

Haye and Rigondeaux were underdogs going into their fights. Wlad is expected and perfectly capable of bombing these bum ass opponents out in the first two rounds but he never commits to it.

Thing is, if Wladimir fought an opponent with the ability of Donaire and size advantage etc, Wladimir wouldn't last five rounds.

Rigo is outclassing p4p guys, Wladimir is clinching to death cancer patients/blown up CWs..

Wlad holds the whole damn time. It's not like Riogodneaux, who was using his feet effectively to box. Wlad grabs his opponent every chance he gets. There's a huge difference between them
