Certainly not, he maybe slightly better than before Steward but he lost some strengths to gain others. To improve his defence he sacrificed a lot of his offensive arsenal. And he is A LOT less exiting than before Steward, that's obvious to anyone who followed his career. Watch his pre Steward fights, dammit. Steward made him a more successful fighter, that's it. But I honestly don't think it would have made much of a difference if he had stayed with Sdunek. Sdunek is a top trainer and Stewart just took in a basically complete fighter before he even entered his prime years. The real work in developing Wlad's skills and style did others but Steward takes the glory now.
Aren't you the guy that constantly rags on Floyd and Juan Guzman for being boring...Talk about your double standards
What do you mean?!!!Holmes is the greatest, most exciting HW who ever lived! He would beat Wlad in under 30seconds with just his blinding footwork!!
Ive been a long time fan of Wlad. Even back when most everyone had written him off after brewster I. I am quite happy that he has had so much success under Steward. However it is obvious that his old title as offensive fighter is gone and with it some of the entertainment from his fights. I actually think he could have gotten rid of several of his last opponents earlier (hence done better) if he just used both hands a little more often. I really think it is a confidence issue as even Manny was telling him to pick up the pace towards the end of this last fight. Either lack of confidence in taking a hit or lack of confidence at having the gas to go 12 rounds with more offense.
