Not weak at all for me, only US domestic scene is weak and that is because its been cleaned out and starved in the face of K2 supremacy. If you look at Larry Holmes's championship record, Wladimir is far more impressive in terms of KO's, rounds won, and the opponents record. I'd even rate Tony Thompson as better than 95% of Holmes's defenses. It's not his fault that no serious challenge is out there, we had Haye but he fell short. Haye would also destroy a lot of the guys Holmes couldn't put away incidentally. Wise up haters, your BS won't wash.

Hate to bring this up, but why again is Lewis getting credit for beating a cocaine-addicted, mentally broken McCall in the rematch?

Lewis beats a past-prime fighter in rematch and the reaction is "Lewis took revenge for his KO loss"
Wlad beats a past-prime fighter in rematch and the reaction is "Wlad should get no credit, Brewster was shot"

Why the double standards? :deal

I wouldn't call Pianeta, Each, Mormeck and lepeia contender after contender. That said its not entirely his fault.

Fair point. The English speaking world takes its own bias for a universal consensus.

That's not accurate. First, most of the magazines that deny Klitschko legacy are doing so because ofnationalistic, propaganda based reasons, not in the face of propaganda. I.e. foreign champs can't compare with our American champs. Second, more and more American historians, writers are noting the Klitschko legacy. Kellerman and Rafael I've heard admit either K could beat Ali etc H2H, and have admitted they belong in the top 10 legacy discussion as well. As far as linking to written article from an American sports outlet, there are plenty, but just for a quick example, here you go with Yahoo news discussing Vitali's legacy as a top ten HW: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/boxing/vitali-klitschko-remembered-one-history-best-most-underrated-210751814--box.html;_ylt=A2KLOzENr9ZSKRIAFAHQtDMD

For that matter, I'm proudly American, proud of our past champs and hoping for a dominant future American champ (I'd love to be wrong about Deontay Wilder and see him stake his claim), but have no qualm putting Vitali in the top 10 on legacy and Wlad in top 12, and both in top 3 for H2H.

What magazine are be nationalistic and denying the klits anything? With all due respect I think you have nothing to support this opinion. In turn I would bet I could show plenty of fighters from foreign countries who were in turn given plenty of due.

And I'm sorry but h2h is not very meaningful in rating all time greats. If it were I to would hold Vits in higher regard given his dismal resume.

Well if mccbride, williams and other bums could , I think we can suggest Thompson beats tyson, but you are prob talking about tyson in his "prime" ? If so you don't have to mention purity, brewster and sanders , because that wasn't a prime Wlad.

Wlad was prime his whole career. He never underestimated an opponent or came into the ring any less than 100%.
He got creamed because he isn't in the tiers of former greats. Just a decent boxer in a terrible division.

Wlad was prime. He was physically prime and had plenty of experiences as well as not having been through any wars. What you're saying is akin to saying Tyson wasn't prime for Douglas or Hits for Lewis, its ridiculous.

If I remember correctly you once said Bowe from Golota fight wasn't a prime Bowe?

Same drivel different day. Saying kilt isn't an atg after this long a total domination is madness. Take the kilt bros away and the division might actually be exciting and no one would be saying it is c level....
