For 8 fights I would say he has been in tougher than most, but he won the gold medal so that is to be expected. Anyone who is sure one way or the other is just guessing at this point and doing so often times purely due to nationalism

Going by the posts I think its people from different parts of the world who think he can make it.

You're right about him just being a prospect. At this point all we can say is he's done well against low level opposition.

Good point. I think Price is a special case. Nobody expected Thompson to beat him (twice). It was considered another stepping stone but a step up in class. Price has bags of power but his boxing is horrible to watch. This is a guy that was in the AMS for a long time, won medals at the Olympics and breaking peoples noses along the way but, his technique and defense is horrible IMO. So was it too big a step up? Not sure but Price was found out.

Anthony Joshua is pretty talanted. But he lost two fights in olympics.I watched it live, and thought semi final, and final bouts was losses for him.And he lost to Dillian Whyte,I watched it too.And was seeing how easily Dillian Whyte dealt with him.
Stamina was his problem even in amateurs.
Anthony Joshua is strong, but with these muscles he will get obviously slower by sixth round. And afther that he will get outboxed by good to excelent boxer overall.

David Haye also has stamina problems.I watched his fight with Solis. He was not competetive after first round due to his stamina. In pro ranks his stamina doesn't impress too.He has great workrate but just for first six rounds,as it was found out in Chisora fight.I wonder, why he is not working with his stamina issues.

I agree I thought the final was close but Cammarelle won. Wasn't the Whyte fight at the start of AJ's boxing. If the guy was undefeated in the AMS and PRO's that would be amazing, I think we should expect a loss here or there.

I guess that it's too early to tell, but it's not impossible, Joshua is one of the best prospects in the world. He has been doing well so far. However, there are still holes in his defense that he needs to fix before stepping to the world level. Also, I'm not sure about his stamina, it is yet to be tested.
