Wlad has fast hands for a super heavyweight, maybe the fastest hands ever for a guy his size, only Lewis is comparable for similar sized heavies and I'd give Wlad the slight edge as his punches were straighter and more compact. But compared to smaller heavies Wlad's speed doesn't compare to the likes of Ali, Patterson, Tyson etc.
Flat top Lewis was faster than Wlad. Steward Lewis the same , probably slightly faster. The looping right hand that poll axed Rahman was as fast as any Wlad right hand. That punch had an angle on it and wasn't straight as Wlads yet it was still just as fast.

That's some exceptionally funny trolling. :good Wlad's arms weigh about 20 kg each, padding adds about 0,0000001 per cent to the weight you have to move when punching. :rofl
you have no idea what you are talking about..they have different size ounces for a reason. Specially with those old school gloves ,you've never even put 1970's or 60's gloves on kid...I have them from when my uncle boxed and they are much lighter to the standard 10/12 ounces...you have to move when Punching? Meaning you shouldn't plant your feet in a good solid opposition ,you should just runaround the ring and use off balance shots???? You boxed for how long? atsch You would also know anything that weighs Anything is still weight...that's why swimmers shave there legs to increase speed in the water, even the littlest percent adds up. Though that has almost nothing to do with more padded gloves . Try on MMa gloves then boxing 10 ounces that is what the difference almost feels like.
Vlad is quick, quicker than Lewis..........................also has great footwork, balance and tons of power..............Steward said that Vlad had more natural talent than Lewis and one punch knockout power.....................
I boxed in a competitive amateur level for 15 years in my youth and for a man of my size (95kg, about 15% fat at my late 40's), the glove size means **** to the speed of a punch. I know for a child under 10 years old it makes a bit of difference, since I have taken my kid to gym, but once you get some muscle in your arms effect of amount of padding is meaningless, if we are talking about hand-speed. But funny trolling :good. Of course you should have your feet planted when power punching, but we are discussing speed here and Ali and Holmes, for example, could do speedster stuff that Wladimir never was able to do and never will. Like jabbing lightning fast in movement or throwing lead right hand without opponent being able to react to it any kind of way. Ali hit his right hand so fast that it is really stupid to compare Ali's speed to Wlad -they are totally different fighters. Wlad obviously has the power, but not the speed in any department.
wlads hands are not slow, its his body size that's the hindrance. for his size he moves pretty good, but its not fast because of his size, he just cant with all that bulk. the handspeed is not bad though, though its fallen off considerably recently as anyones would due to age.
the problem appears to be someone, whose termite shall not be mentioned, trying to pretend hes faster than ali.
