Nope, you cant corner guy who is faster than you just with technique ...
with Wlad's technique, strength and long reach I would rather expect Adamek
will be countered and knocked out with jab alone rather cornered and
slaughtered in the corner.

It's definitely possible with good technique. Frazier wasn't lightening fast on his feet, yet he was excellent at cornering the ring off. Look at how he did this against Ali. Sure, Ali was older than the fleet footed version in his prime, but he still had much faster feet and great footwork too. Frazier just nullified it with his slower movement.

I actually think Wlad is excellent at it. My point earlier about cutting the ring off wasn't specifically about Wlad and Adamek because Adamek would never be out of range. It was just a general comment about movement and how good technique nullifies it.

I don't think Wlad has particularly fast feet either, but he does know how to keep his range and cut the ring off. Most faster heavyweights would struggle to keep away from him, especially when he's pumping out 30 jabs per round.

correct... and i wasnt talking about wlad either.... but it is so important for a fighter to learn.... I know steward was teaching Tyson Fury at our last camp...... kept screaming........ "stop chasing the mother ****er... cut the ring"... then they went over it after sparing

worst example of cutting the ring... Arreola for example.... all he does is follow follow follow

proper ring cutting can catch the fastest of guys if done right

 

chef tell wlad to make sure adamek does olympic style drug testing.

Yeah, that's right. Arreola is pathetic at it and I actually think he'd be a good fighter if he knew how to cut the ring off. He's just not effective if an opponent can keep their distance because he lunges into shots and throws with even less technique. He may as well box on one leg against a guy who has movement because you know he'll never be set up right.

Fury is a good one because he always chases guys. Against the opposition he's currently faced, he gets away with it, but I imagine he looks pretty stupid in camp.

Just out of interest, do you know if Fury is improving? I'm a big fan of his.
