Wladimir Klitschko advises Usyk on how to beat Fury: "Just focus on that eye"

I'll mimic Wlad: "just hit him until he loses bro". Easier said than done.

In saying that I don't see Usyk replicating a Wallin, he's too clean a fighter in my opinion. His best bet would be to hurt the body early to set up head combinations later on. In and out, make Fury chase him and basically harrass him until he begins to tire in the later rounds. He can't just go toe to toe like he did against AJ.

 

Nope. I want no injuries, especially an old one opening up. I want a straight up, clean dominant victory. No excuses.

 

When your whole plan is gambling on a cut.... a cut that could happen or not..... you are really ****ed.

Wlad was an ATG HW, but he better shut the **** up and let the champion (who is not him anymore) fight.

Opening an old injury doesn't make it less clean a win.

 

If he is cut by punch its just part of the boxing dude. You want damage Your opponent end of the day.
If his skin is weak its his problem to safe it from damage.
You think Fury will be watchout to land punches on body always up from the belt line?

No, but it makes it gambling. If it happens it happens and you capitalize, but building your fight plan on that is plain stupid. I'm disapointed in Wlad, tbh, as I said he's an ATG.

 

Saying to focus on the eye does not mean, 'ONLY focus on the eye'....

 

This is what he said (or at least what the OP says that he said):

I very much, very very much disagree with ATG Wlad on this one.

He should build several plans. One of his plans should be the main plan, and maybe integrating some punishment in that zone can be a good idea, but that's all, the main plan should make sense by itself, as a whole.

One of the secondary plans should be "in case of a cut happens".

Building your fight plan on a cut...... I couldnt disagree more.

Thanks god Usyk's trainer is no idiot and Usyk isn't either. I'm pretty sure they will do everything correctly. No way you achieve what Usyk has achieved by making gambling plans like the one Wlad is proposing.

 

Does 'focus' to you mean Wlad's saying ONLY go for the eye, or simply be aware of how it looks during the fight and as it goes on?

And obviously Usyk has more than one plan, which gets changed as the fight progresses.

Tell that to the excuse making Fury fans. You know as well as I do, Fury gets a bad cut and loses, that will be the only reason Usyk won. If that didn't happen, Fury was on his way to an easy win. Sound about right?
