:good the nutthuggery of old fighters is ridiculous... they had no defense and slugged eachother for the most part... they got hit A LOT...no one can do that against Wlad and expect to win unless he tires or get caught with something big.

I totally disagree. Some '70s fighters were hit a lot, but others were defensive experts. It varies depending on the boxer.

There are some boxers who can afford to get hit a lot by Vlad and still come back to win. Purrity and Brewster did it. Exceptionally durable fighters can stand up to Vlad's punches. It would have been interesting to see Chuvalo against Vlad.

And I am not anti-Vlad...I have always been one of his biggest boosters at fights and on the forums.

FTR, I actually think Wlad does match up pretty well with some other legitimate ATG's - but he has 0% chance with Foreman. Boxer-movers WITH A SOLID CHIN troubled Foreman, Klitschko is a flat footed plodding jabber; how anyone can think a guy who was dropped 4 times by retired golfer Corrie Sanders, 3 times by inept slugger Samuel Peter (in some ways a 'Z' version of Big George) - and KTFO by lamon Brewster and Ross Purrity would beat GF, easily no less, with nothing more than a jab and a "clinch" apparently, is beyond me.

Foreman is the best, most powerful slugger in history, if you walk at him you get KTFO, especially if your of as fragile disposition as Wlad. If i had to pick anybody to beat Wlad h2h it'd be Foreman.

Does Wald also get the benefit of the doubt on the cards as Ali did?

Vlad is a Big man with great skills and there was not anyone in the 60's with his size and ability but Vlad has lost to Brewster,Sanders and Puritty and these guys are not punching slouches but there are not Liston,Foreman but again if we look closely, Liston and Foreman were not stamina giants and 2 of Vlad Loses were because of him losing stamina, one was a blow out, these big guys like Vlad,Lewis has great offence but once they go down hard it seems to be harder for them to lift there Big Bodys "they fall hard, still vlad got up vs Sanders and he has improved as of late...on a good night he could beat all of them but on a bad night he could be upset... Still again look at the opponents Ali had trouble with Cooper, Frazier,Jones,Mildenburger, Chuvalo (not really) Bonavena, Bugner( a bit) could any of them fight OR HIT like VLAD

iT IS HARD TO GO BACK AND FIGHT GUYS FROM ANOTHER ERA AND SAY whO WAS GREATER.....Size is one thing I hear a lot about but we have to forget a lot about it because of the adjustment in the Heavyweight division mainly to weightlifting and extra luggage, if you took guys like Lewis and Vlad and trained them to fight 15, these guys could adjust IMO but there are other guys that cant fight 12 round and cetaintly not at the pace of a Marciano,Louis,Dempsey or Ali fought that fought 15rds...In todays times we would assume that Dempsey, Marciano,Louis and Ali would be training differently and be heavier not to mention that sons are growing taller than there Dads etc. so if we are going to dream about these dream fights we must adjust to some equal ground or if we are just going to parashute Vladmir into the 60's or 70's the way he is and throw him into a title fight with Foreman,Ai,Frazier,Liston, or a elim with Quarry,Norton,Lyle,Shavers....I have to say he would be something they have never seen in the ring and that Jab....its a thing of the late 2000's

You seem to be assuming there that Klitschko is in some way comparable to Lennox Lewis....he isn't.

WALDO folds under pressure and has a very poor chin, which equals bad news against a lot of guys Ali fought - only the 'bigger is best' fools think otherwise.

Holmes, Liston, Frazier, Foreman **** even FOSTER would ALL not only beat Wlad but knock his SCARED ass out. Wlad is a scared fighter period. He fights scared and the ref couldnt save his ass from those guys.
