Cool article. I'm not a huge fan of Klit's, but he seems like a genuinely nice guy. He'd be fun to play golf with, or have a drink with. Funny how others mentioned in the article don't really know who he is.
Ya, I guess boxing just isn't as big as it used to be. But you have to give Wlad credit, he is trying to get his name out there. Golf Week Magazine, Muscle & Fitness, Jay Leno, and the Chris Cornell video he was in.
Yeah, it's unfortunate that the heavy weight champ isn't very well known at all in the last decade or so. A BIG part of it, of course, has to do with the fact that there aren't any big-name HW's out there for him to fight. He's obviously the best there is right now, and through no fault of his own, just doesn't have any Lennox Lewis's, Tysons, Foremans, etc to fight. David Haye? Ask a casual fan who Haye is, and they'd have no clue... heck, most boxing fans have barely seen him fight. I think he's doing the right thing though, in getting his name out there. He just needs for some young, cocky, charismatic, and GOOD American to make a splash on the boxing scene. I don't see one on the horizon yet though - not some fat-ass like Aereolla, either. Hopefully when one does come around, he'll still be fighting and in, or close to, his prime. The HW division is in sorry shape, and it sucks for Klitschko, because he hasn't been tested in a long time, and seems to be at the top of his game now.
