Well done Champ, great decision. Great team an continue working with the spirit of Emanuel Steward.

“JB is my coach,” Klitschko said.

Whatever happens in his career, Banks said training Klitschko will come first.
“Right now my priority will be the same as Emanuel,” Banks said. “And that’s training Wladimir Klitschko. That’s the main concern.”

Smart move by Banks to prioritize Klitschko, and great move by Klitschko to keep Banks as his primary trainer. Clearly they should be well equipped to carry forward all that Steward taught them over past 8-9 years. They shared so much life and learning under Steward, I am sure together they will continue to be strong. Best wishes to them.

Pros: paycheck/new career for Banks, familar training for Klit cons: potential conflict of interest?

Smart move by Banks, because even when Wladimir retires in a few years, Banks will be able to continue training other fighters.

Banks could train for the next 30-years or more...so more money in the long run, and a safer option health wise too.

This is good for Banks. Good for Wlad too if he's happy with Banks.

Funny thing is Banks may be the first trainer I've ever heard of that could actively and competitively spar with his protégée?! Has there ever been a combination like that in history with the trainer being 5 years younger than his fighter?

Great move from both and both will carry Emanuel Steward in the heart. They will continue work with Emanuel Steward´s spirit.

This... I believe Banks has always been the 3rd the most important man in camp behind Wlad and Steward..
You can't replace Steward, but Banks probably knows what Steward useually trains Wlad, how he prepares him and how he structures the gameplans..

I know that Wlad was a surperior fighter to Wach, but Banks did a good job in the corner, especially considering that Wlad for the first time in his career fought a guy bigger than himself.

Banks can now massage Wlad all nite long after day's routine are done.
And while massaging Wlad's lower back and bums Banks whispers on Wlad's ear, -Wlad, you are the Champ. And Wlad gets goose bumps.

So if Banks is training Wlad full time now, who trains Banks for his fights? Does he just train himself?
