Let me just get this straight, you may help me with my bet this weekend. Wlad can ONLY win this fight by stopping Haye early, stopping him late or winning on points? Hmmmm............ I picked up the mail in a pub yesterday and couldn't beleive how scathing it was.
http://www1.skysports.com/haye/story/21235/7010996 Not sure if this has been posted on the thread yet so apologies if it has Holyfield talks a lot of sense here, especially about being people getting carried away about chins in this fight. Just a shame he doesn't seem to show as much sense when thinking about himself and continuing his career. Hopefully watching these 2 elite heavyweights go head-to-head at the weekend will show him that his time has come and gone and he should not try to compete with them.
I was listening to the radio this afternoon and Bernd Bonte was on gurning about Haye not putting his title on the line and if it isnt on the line then he is breaking the contract and potentially jeopardising the fight - did anyone hear this?
I think round 1 is going to be key in this fight. Haye has been doing his best to try and confuse and anger Klitschko and I think the 1st round will show how well it's worked. Wlad usually spends round 1 figuring out his opponent and doesn't really let his hands go on; however I can see that changing here and both men opening up and taking a few punches. It's how Haye reacts to going to to toe with Wlad which will affect how he approaches this fight. If he does take Klitschko's punches fairly well, I can see him going more aggressive and trying to get on the inside and unload. If he gets rocked early, I expect to see more of the cautious counter punching of the Valuev fight. I also see Haye switch hitting every now and then in the fight but would seriously doubt the effectiveness of him doing that. I think Haye can win both ways to be honest but it's a big risk taking the counter punch tactic. If he does it, he will have to be even more accurate than he was vs Valuev and throw more. If he consistently beats Wlad to the punch, he can frustrate him and make that type of fight work. Not that I'd recommend it though. Either way, I think Haye is a very live underdog in this fight and is the value bet at 11/8. To win by KO is even more appealing
People keep on mentioning the size of the ring on Saturday, who do people a big ring favours? I think a big ring will help Haye but from what I have been reading it will help Wlad.
good luck to david haye but going on the form hes in big trouble i see him getting stpd 7th rnd :think but then again i thought james degale would ko goerge groves and i still think jd won the fight:think
kind of feels like wlad is trying to be funny too much, his behaviour is different and he is deffo out of his comfort zone, this could go either way
