joe louis did the same thing, so did henry armstrong and all the other pro fighters from yesteryear.

Many of them fought 1 bout novices and fighters making debut which makes me throw up.

Absolutely appalin and these fighters get held in high regard for feasting on mere chumps.

There's Tom Dallas or Tyson Fury or a start. Coleman Barrett too? Plenty of options!

Ridiculous fight. Do not defend this ****.

Let's look at the top fighters from the WBO rankings.

Tomasz Adamek (NABO) - Won't take fight yet.

David Tua - Was a possible name earlier, so perhaps he didn't want the fight....

Alexander Povetkin - obviously not going to fight

    Denis Boytsov - not ready

Ruslan Chagaev - already lost to Wladimir

Samuel Peter - already lost twice

Nicolay Valuev - injured, and even if he wasn't, probably wouldn't take the fight anyway.

Odlainier Solis - too fat, and won't take fight

Alexander Dimitrenko - beaten by Chambers, who was KO'd by Wlad, no point in seeing that fight.

Chauncy Welliver - ranked 92nd on Boxrec....44 wins, and only 14 by KO

    Here's the HW top 10:

    1. Vitali - won't fight his brother
    2. Haye - Already has a fight scheduled, and already ducked out of a fight
    3. Povetkin - won't fight Wlad
    4. Adamek - Already has a fight scheduled for December
    5. Chagaev - Already beat him
    6. Chambers - Already beat him
    7. Boytsov - Team looking for a light touch coming off of surgery
    8. Valuev - out with surgery
    9. Dimitrenko - Already has a fight scheduled
    10. Arreola - Already lost twice in the last year

    IBF Top 15:

    1. Not rated
    2. Not rated
    3. Adamek - see above
    4. Boytsov - see above
    5. Chambers - see above
    6. Peter - just whooped him
    7. Chagaev - See above
    8. Arreola - see above
    9. Dimitrenko - see above
    10. Mormeck - shot and no better than Chisora
    11. Banks - Wlad promotes him and no better than Chisora
    12. Povetkin - see above
    13. Solis - Has a fight scheduled for October, and seems content to just become mandatory
    14. Derric Rossy - Would have no shot at winning
    15. Maurice Harris - a journeyman

    WBO top 15:

    1. Adamek - See above
    2. Tua - Was lucky to just get a draw with shot to **** Monte Barrett
    3. Povetkin
    4. Boytsov
    5. Chagaev
    6. Peter
    7. Valuev
    8. Solis
    9. Dimitrenko
    10. Chauncey Welliver - No better than Chisora
    11. Dimitrenko
    12. Gonzalo Omar Basile - Argentine journeyman has lost every time he's stepped up
    13. Chisora
    14. Alex Leapai - Would get murdered; a step down from Chisora
    15. Robert Helenius - Probably the best of the bunch, but he's just as green, and I doubt his team wants him to step up to that level just yet.

Basically, there are no good options. I guess he could try to throw enough money at Adamek that he cancels his fight in December, but supposedly Vitali's targeting Adamek for early next year.

Chisora is a more credible opponent than Fury. Fury lost to John McDermot for god's sake. Chisora is the second best British heavy at this point

Fury would be fun, only to see him get KO'd, Fury is terrible. But who's to say he would take the fight anyway.

Tom Dallas has less experience than Chisora, and is ranked 112 on BoxRec.
Coleman Barrett: Also less experience (hasn't even fought a single 12 rounder) than Chisora, 162 on BoxRec.

I'd lol my face off if Chisora chinned him. It seems like Klitschko's have moved in to the job of pulling roots. Essentially knocking out anyone green enough to pose a threat in a couple of years.

Brickhaus hit the nail on the head. In normal circumstances Wlad could offer one of his former opponents a shot, but the manner he beat them all the first time makes that unrealistic.

Unless the top guys are willing to fight then the Klitschkos have little option but to fight fringe contenders and green prospects. Its such a **** state of affairs

    Nice post! :good

There really aren't that many options. I'd rather see Wlad keep busy, and fight the best he can find, that just sit out.

this is ridiculous, im guessing it is a joke thread made to show how biased the wlad fans are.

they sht on haye-arrison but lap up wlad-chisora.

most boxing fans apprecate wlad s the best hw, but few hug his nuts ths bad and the few who do gve the fans a bad nme.

wlad - chisora is a fukn rdculous matchup that noone wants to see.

Well at least Wlad is reaching out....trying to find a suitable opponent.

Any word on Tua or Mormeck though? Is Wlad just taking too much flak for a prospective fight with these guys that Chisora is more appealing?

Wlad's doing a good job backing David Haye into a corner....if Wlad starts destroys the guys that Haye would otherwise fight then Haye will look even worse then he does now.

Chisora > Harrison, that about sums it up for the end of the year fights at HW.

At this point fighting Tua almost seems like an upgrade, but the lesson learned here is that it's not a horrendous match-up in the end - Wlad's free from his RTL contract, gets British exposure and drums up excitement for a possible Haye fight.

There's a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE here.

Wlad is actively trying to fight the best (Povetkin, Haye, etc...).

When they TURN DOWN THE FIGHT, Wlad must look elsewhere.

Haye just looks elsewhere from the very beginning.
