Wladimir Klitschko deserves P4P recognition...

  1. He is an outstanding boxer and by far one of the best heavyweights of the past twenty years. He outclasses his opponents and has beaten every #1 contender put in front of him. Where's the love???

I respect him but he fights boring and cowardly, he could have finished chambers in 4 of he wanted i really don't like tje jab jab right, plus he doesn't beat quality opposition to get him p4p recognition.
Although that isn't his fault but i do blame him for the boring fights, watching him fight makes me believe k1 is more fun then heavyweight boxing.

I rank him higher than most, but I don't have an updated list handy. Been awhile since I've done one.

The name of the game is dominance, and right now Wlad's one of the 3 most dominant fighters in the sport along with Floyd and Manny.I don't have him all the way up at 3 because he is a heavyweight, but I don't know how any sensible list couldn't have him top 10 unless they specifically didn't rank heavyweights on purpose.

    Accomplishments:
    Unbeaten in 6 years
    Beltholder for 4 years
Unified, should hold 3 of the 4 top belts if not for WBA's politics
Since becoming champ again, record of 8-0 (7 KOs)
    Routinely shuts out top competition

    Can't ignore that.

He definitely does, there isn't really any excuse for leaving him out, regardless of what you think of heavyweights in p4p lists. It generally only takes 1 or 2 good wins for people to throw someone in the bottom of the p4p 10, guys like Adamek etc. Wlad has consistently beaten just about every decent challenger to set foot in the division, it just isn't fashionable to give him props.

maybe you don't get the idea of P4P. It has nothing to do with size or weight. It is saying that if all fighters weighed the same and were put in the ring who would be the best. Wlad just doesn't have boxing skill he has height and reach advantage but medium skill level

P4P is usually someon who dominates multiple weight classes. your manny pacs, your floyd mays, your mosleys, and so forth

If all fighters were scaled to a medium weight class, Wlad would still be a massively tall guy for that weightclass, still have the biggest punch in that weightclass, still know how to fight to his strengths and still be able to dictate the distance and pace of the fight against all but a small handful of fighters.

Plus if he was scaled down his chin would likely be proportionally better, average-chinned middleweights don't suffer as badly as average-chinned heavies.

If Manny Pacquaio was Wlad's size and weight he couldn't fight like Manny Pacquaio, moron.

Hopkins was ranked by Ring as early as 1999 when he hadn't had a fraction of the success Wlad has now, though.

I think demographics plays into it significantly. It also won't help Wlad's chances that HBO's not on his bandwagon as the Ring's P4P list has become HBO's little showcase more than anything else now.

    Whats so funny, fruitcake ?

You're acting like he isn't speaking the truth....

Wlad is a TEXTBOOK fighter. If you don't like ones style, that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve P4P recognition. Like you said, opponents isn't his fault.

But p4p lists are basically promotion devices and"bragging rights", its not any accomplishment of ANY SORT. Its just a list that is made up by some magazine owned by some former boxer..... I don't need a list to tell me who the best boxers are, I have eyes and I can tell myself.

    A P4P list is subjective.

If you want him in yours, that's fine.
If someone else doesn't, that's fine too.

    What is there to debate?
