Wlad's chin is pure ****. Rahman took Sanders best shots and still won and we know how bad Rahmans chin is. Sanders exposed just how bad Wlad's chin is. Jab is why Wlad uses his jab and grab BS style.
LOL. I stopped reading when he mentioned Sanders headbutts were hurting Wlad. I like Wlad, but his chin is NOT good.
Gonna have to disagree here. Lennox Lewis, while I might have never been a fan, took shots from guys that wouldve probably had Wlad in deep trouble. Bruno for example......Lewis went toe to toe with Bruno and outlasted him, finally stopping him in the 7th. I think that green version of Lewis had a tougher chin than the poor defense version of Wlad who was stopped by Sanders. Yeah, Lewis was in deep with Bruno, who almost had Tyson KOd previously, but Lewis held on, kept his composure and continued to maintain the distance and drop the OH R. IDK if pre Manny Wlad woulda made it out of the 4th rd vs Bruno back then.:think
Sanders was the only one of the three knockouts that could be chalked up to chin. Corrie was a big puncher, caught him cold, and didn't let up. It happens. Purrity and Brewster had more to do with conditioning than ability to take a punch, and Lamon's a huge puncher himself. It's weird to me that the glass chin thing's been thrown around for Lennox and Wlad considering the number of punchers they've fought and how few times they've been stopped. Full-fledged, heavy handed heavyweights hit hard enough to take someone out. That's boxing. Neither of them are getting knocked down a dozen times or taking career-altering beatings by 190, 200 lb fighters, or getting iced early by heavyweight versions of Ishida. The chin's not titanium, but it's not glass, either.
The funny thing is Klittards like to claim that Sanders was this huge puncher, when he only had a 70% KO ratio at the time he fought Wlad. :rofl
Against Brewster, He didn't show to have the heart. Forget about the chin. In my opinion, his chin was already proven to be vulnerable against Sanders in 2 rounds.
And McCall's was only 58% when he knocked out Lennox. The point still stands that both men have better chins than they're given credit for- you don't last long fighting big heavyweights without one.
I agree with most people on here that the OP is a klittard nuthugger, but I'd like to just point out that a 70% KO ratio is a very high ratio and definitely indicative of a big puncher imo.
I remember reading a list of HW champs that had been ko'ed during their career... All the greats are in there apart from a few exception, it comes with the territory
I don't, and i'm not using excuses. I'm just stating facts, and self evident things. Meanwhile you seems really butthurt from that, becuase it removes Wlad's only theorical weakness, which brings you mad :hey
Wlad has a weak punch resistance. When he gets hit he seems to lose coordination of his body quickly. He reminds me of Amir Khan a bit in that respect. Whenever Khan takes a punch he momentarily freezes and has to collect his senses. Wlad is quite similar. Doesn't mean they are floored by every punch, just slightly disoriented for a brief moment.
Ray Mercer> Sam Peter. Lewis wasn't crawling around on his hands on knees multiple times against Mercer.
