In 1982 Holmes fought twice - Tex Cobb, who couldn't box or punch and Gerry Cooney who went 13 rounds with him despite having fought only about a round and a half in the previous 2 years. Sanders and Brewster would have given Holmes a much tought fight than Cobb or Cooney. Holmes fought a long list of pathetic fighters. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=150&cat=boxer Wlad beats Holmes. But Wlad might have been in serious trouble against Shavers who was beaten by Holmes.
It may be. Adamek is slightly taller than Holmes. This content is protected This content is protected
Interesting. According to Boxrec, Spinks is 6′ 2½″, Adamek is 6′ 1½″, & Holmes is 6′ 3″... but they all look about the same height. Maybe Holmes has shrunk with age, because he's nearly 62 years old now.
I think Adamek is a little taller than his listed 6'1 1/2. Arreola is listed at 6'4, and is probably really about 6'3. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Adamek is 6'3, or at least 6'2 1/2. I don't know why people still believe boxrec. Brewster and Peter are not 6'2, Paul Williams is not 6'1. The list goes on and on.
I think it's the angle of the picture. In this picture Holmes looks to be considerably larger than the 6'6 Wlad and the 6'7 Gerry Cooney. Micky Ward at 5'8 looks tiny compared the all of them though. This content is protected
