It's sad when the top contenders won't step up to the plate and the next ten best options have all lost to one of the Klitschko's already. Funny that the Sosnowski fight doesn't seem THAT horrible when you look at their options.

Mormeck is intriguing for 2 reasons.

Mormeck as an opponent could generate some money from the French TV market?

Haye refers to Mormeck as the toughest fight and biggest win of his career. If Wlad stops JMM early maybe that will make Haye look bad and mess with his head.

Neither him or Tua seem deserving but if Wlad fights 3 times in one year maybe he deserves a freebee.

jean marc mormeck. this better be a huge pile of bullsht.

altho it would be funny seeing wlad huggers suddenly calling mormeck a great fighter.

as for tua, hmmmm we all saw tua vs lewis, ths will be similar.

right top 10 right now is probably give or take a couple of names at the bottom

    wlad
    vitali
    haye
    povetkin
    chagaev
    solis
    adamek
    valuev
    thompson
    arreola

he has already beaten chagaev and thompson. povetkin aint ready. adamek will fght some bum. vitali is his bro and haye is fghting in november.

so it should really be solis, valuev or arreola by my reckoning. all would be a challenge in a way. solis and arreola have power and strength. valuev is that big wlad would have to become an inside fighter.

he could get away with fighting toney also, just to shut him up.

so ye solis, arreola, valuev or toney. that would do me.

but tua or mormeck? no wouldnt really be happy with them. altho tua is more of a threat then briggs and harrison, as THE CHAMP wlad should be fghtng a higher level especially whlst he is prime.

    Skimming over the WBO top 10;

Adamek- scheduled to fight someone else, no?
    Tua- already an option
    Povetkin- unwilling to fight
Boytsov- no big wins, probably wouldn't take the fight
    Chagaev- already beaten
    Peter- beaten twice
    Valuev-injured?
Solis- wouldn't fight Vitali so probs wouldn't fight Wlad
Dimitrenko- hasn't came back from Chambers loss yet
    Welliver- who?

wlad stopping mormeck wouldnt impact upon haye in the slightest IMO. haye beat mormeck when he was linear champ. wlad would be beating a bloated shot cruiser.

if he takes a freebee it should be vs toney. at least that would sell.

I like your choices better but Wlad always fights the highest available contender & he deserves a voluntary especially if he's going to fight 3 times this year.

Looking at the top 15 of the WBO and the IBF there is really no one out there.

    WBO

1 Tomasz Adamek (NABO) ** POL
    2 David Tua (Asia-Pacific) (Oriental) NZ/SAM
    3 Alexander Povetkin RUS
    4 Denis Boytsov RUS
    5 Ruslan Chagaev UZB
    6 Samuel Peter NIG
    7 Nicolay Valuev RUS
    8 Odlainier Solis CUB
    9 Alexander Dimitrenko UKR
10 Chauncy Welliver (Asia-Pacific Int.) USA
    11 Chris Arreola USA
12 Gonzalo Omar Basile (Latino) ARG
    13 Sam Sexton GB
14 Alex Leapai (Oriental Int.) AUST
    15 Robert Helenius SW

    IBF

    1 NOT RATED
    2 Samuel Peter United States
    3 Tomasz Adamek Poland
    4 Denis Boytsov Germany
    5 Eddie Chambers United States
    6 Ruslan Chagaev Uzbekistan
    7 Chris Arreola United States
    8 Alexander Dimitrenko Ukraine
    9 Jean Marc Mormeck France
    10 Jonathon Banks United States
    11 Alexander Povetkin Russian Federation
    12 Odlanier Solis Cuba
    13 Derrick Rossy United States
    14 Tony Thompson United States
    15 Maurice Harris United States

He either already beat the guys, they injured, they don't wanna fight fight (Povetkin, Boytsov), or they are total bums (Mormeck, Rossy).
