Really good video, and fair and accurate assessment, and I'm pretty sure Wlad sees it the way you do with the Fury rematch, he's very conscious of legacy and I think he's going to leave whatever he has left in the ring in July, whether that means he produces an aggressive masterpiece and KOs Fury in dominant fashion or goes out on his shield getting KO'd in the process of trying to. Because I don't think Wlad is content at all, ending his ATG career losing to a guy he has so much contempt for.

Thanks man, and I largely agree with everything you said, and am wondering if Wlad won't try and "forget" some of the things Emanuel taught him and revert a bit more towards his older style. I'm not sure that he can do that, as older fighters tend to be stuck in their ways, and Wlad is 40 now after all. But watching some of the fights when he was younger, like the bout with Ray Mercer for instance - he was an offensive machine then.

I hope it's a good fight, regardless of what happens. I appreciate and have enjoyed watching Wladimir's career, and I also think Fury is a terrific fighter, too, whose mental strength is tremendous.

That's what I said he should do almost the moment the first fight was over, and I think he realizes that as well, but I'm not sure if he's capable of pulling the trigger that aggressively anymore. Some may say the Pulev match showed he could still fight like that, but the reality is Pulev's defense was shoddy as hell in that match and presented a ton of openings for Wlad to exploit, and exploited them with extreme malice due to his personal dislike of Pulev, but Wlad's going to have to set and force the pace, get Tyson out of his comfort zone and make him make the mistakes so he can exploit them. It isn't going to be easy, but if Wlad who I believe had that epiphany in the 11th and 12th comes out like he did in the Mercer fight in round 1, he can pull it off.....I hope.

And for the record I prefer the pre-Steward Wlad.

Give over on the Mercer fight. Wlad from the Mercer fight is Wlad from the Sanders fight.
Its essentially saying Wlad from the Sanders fight needs to turn up to win. Its utterly ridiculous.

Well, I disagree. I think that's exactly the Wlad that needs to show up. He could wind up getting stopped trying, but he needs to open more to find ways to land his power shots. He also needs to be more decisive with his jab, even if he employees a more methodical approach than I'm expecting he needs.

Agreed with everything, and yeah - Pulev is a sitting target, whereas Fury is deceptively elusive. Wlad is used to taking control in the center of the ring, but he needs to also use his feet more while maintaining his proper balance the best he can.

Well, that version of Wlad was certainly more exciting to watch. But I love watching Steward's transformation of both Lewis and Wlad, so I don't agree with you on this (although I see where you're coming from).

Wlad was so depressed and disinterested in these pressers, I don't have any hope for him. His punch output was a joke, he just didn't care about winning at all and when you listen to him in interviews now he doesn't sound motivated at all. "I will knock him out". Sorry there's zero passion in that.

Fury seems disinterested himself, not sure if its an act. He'd have to come in at 350 lbs and gas out after 3 rounds, that'd be Wlad's best bet.

Fury will not be in range to be hit once again. And fury is quicker and anticipates the attacks quicker being younger with better reflexes. Sloppiness from fury may get him ko'd.
Fury didn't even get inside game going and we know wlad hasn't got one

I like both versions, I've always wished Wlad could have struck a perfect balance, an amalgamation of the two styles, he would have been the perfect fighting machine. But after his 3 KO losses, his style post Steward was basically a necessity. And as the Pulev fight proved that style isn't always dull, its just up to his opponent to make the fight, although they usually get brutally KO'd as a result. Wlad doesn't go out of his way for a KO, but when the opportunity presents itself, he's more than happy to oblige.

Mercer walked in like a turtle and was basically a human punch bag. Wlad could just T off on him risk free. Anybody is going to look good in target practice.

Wlad didn't look the same against MaCline and didn't look the same lying flat on his back against Sanders.
He wasn't even that impressive against a past it Botha since Botha was showing some guts.
Mercer had nothing at all left in the tank and is nothing like Fury even when he was prime.
I don't see why it should have any relevance.

Haven't watch the video yet , but im looking forward. They're very enjoyable:happy

I'd like to agree but you can't say _insert name from the _insert name fight needs to show up. That's an impossibility because your opponent has way too much to say on how one looks, how they address the fight and everything in between.

We just need a wlad that doesn't care about getting ko'd. Wlad has to care about winning more than worrying about losing.

Let's be honest, wlad couldn't get off to save his life and it wasn't all due to fury, we had a wlad that cared more about not being ktfo than a wlad of winning at all and any costs.

This is the only legit name left at hw ,ATM that wlad has a good chance at beating. I wouldnt ever put wlad anywhere near AJ, DW, ortiz for sure. Probably ends really badly vs briggs, haye and Parker.

I feel the only reason wlads taking the rematch is because its fury. Fury was literally a tiny bit better than a horrific wlad, so july im picking wlad and by tko 4

I'll add this to my dossier along with your statement that AJ and Spence are a level above Kovalev, Ward and Rigondeaux, I'm building a case against you to prove that YDKSAB, and this is more proof, its starting to look dim for you Staminakills, its getting to the point where its beyond a reasonable doubt.

Good video man, probably the most fair assessment on Wlad out there, Wlad's one of those guys on which there are seemingly only two schools of thought both going into the extreme, but rarely anyone has a balanced viewpoint.

To be honest, it's a good video but there isn't a very realistic display of neutrality regarding the all-time rankings. I haven't seen people ranking Wladimir outside top 20, and if there were, those are probably the troll-like statements, similar to not ranking him in the top 30, 40 etc. Surely it doesn't sound very neutral to give credibility to that, then to mention top 3 being the reverse, and finally to "realistically" rate him at the edge of top 10. To be honest, that's not realistic at all. Unfair to someone who made 15-20 title defenses and became legitimate heavyweight champion.

I have never come up with such ranking list of my own, but if we are evaluating accomplishments, there certainly aren't that many champions that accomplished more than him. The way it appears, there are very few somewhat neutral people on here.
