A very fair, realistic and unbiased assessment

I would agree with pretty much everything you said but I rate his win over Chagaev as more impressive than either of the Peter wins

After an alteration in Wlads style and more aggression being exuded, I am picking Wlad to KO fury mid to late

He really needs to take risks in there. Fury's chin is not great and he is not a murderous puncher by any means, Wlad just played into Fury's plan last time.

    Thanks.

I always thought the Peter fight was more a "signature victory" - not his best or most impressive performance. He overcame adversity in that fight that kind of reflected the adversity he had faced in his career at that point - and he overcame it both in the fight and in his career on that night. So I didn't mean "most impressive" in case I wasn't clear in my wording.

And your pick wouldn't surprise me in the least. Wlad's still got that tremendous fire. He just needs to try and find ways to deliver it.

I'm still inclined to favor Fury, but I'm reserving an official prediction until the fight draws nearer.

Agreed. He definitely needs to take more risks, and change things up a bit more. Fury was able to predict Wlad's movements because he had become so methodical that he invariably would always be trying to do the same sort of things under a given set of positioning/range.

People are taking up Fury as if he's some sort of defensive maestro. He's a clumsy oaf who is there to be hit. Wlad just needs to make a few adjustments and he will win easily.

Vitalli said that Vlad did not do his homework. He was just walking through the motions. As far as I know Vlad will have more aggression like the old Vlad. Vlad stunned Fury, had a clear shot at Fury with the right hand, but did not bother to pull the trigger. If Vlad had thrown that punch Fury would have been knocked out. Vlad said he will knock Fury out, he has the power to do it if he will fight. Fury can't hurt him, it is Vlad who has the power, just hope he still has the will to win, he surely has the skills. Watch the fight again as it is mentioned by the commentators, plus you will see where Vlad stunned Fury, had the clear shot, but did not take it..............Vlad can win this fight, but there questions. If Stewart had been in Vlad's corner it would be a different story. Don't think Banks is doing a good job............

I definitely wouldn't describe Fury as a "clumsy oaf". While he doesn't always appear to have stellar coordination, he's actually pretty slick and does a fine job utilizing subtle all around movement that makes him quite the elusive target.

There are so many intangibles in this fight, which make it interesting, albeit doesn't guarantee we will be in for a dust up come fight night.

Fury's attitude does concern me. I re-watched some of the build up to the first fight and you could see the hunger and determination. Whether you think he is trolling or not I can't help but see someone who is brooding and a bit disinterested now. That will change when things get hard in camp. He appeared to be in terrible shape at the press conference so hope he dedicates himself to come in fighting shape, and genuinely look to build upon the success he has already had.

As for WALDO, I don't see anything that will all of a sudden make him revert to a gunslinger. Not in his nature. If anything the loss will make him tentative as he had no answer for what Fury posed first time around. I think in the rematch, he fights the same but lets a few more right hands and left hooks go. That's about it. Nothing too outrageous. I guess the rub is whether one of those punches land and land early on Fury as it may give WALDO an opening to close the show.

I'm expecting another close fight, and it's still too difficult to pick a winner with much confidence.

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. And I think this is probably the crux of everything, as you stated "I think in the rematch, he fights the same but lets a few more right hands and left hooks go. That's about it. Nothing too outrageous. I guess the rub is whether one of those punches land and land early on Fury as it may give WALDO an opening to close the show."

Only -six- HVY.-wt. matter right now (the names are in No Particular order) Wladimir; TFury; Wilder; Joshua, Haye, Povetkin. Lucas Browne is the "nearest to this group".

Personally, I think this is a "win, lose, or draw" type of fight for Wladimir, regardless of the outcome. If he wins, I can see him maybe going out on a trilogy with Fury, but at 40 years old I reckon the end is probably near.

You're worried a tad for this one aren't ya? :D And Wladimir isnt fighting a freakishly fast and hard hitting Sanders... He's fighting a Tyson Fury who himself isn't very confident for this rematch :) Listen to his tone and interviews. He knows Wladimir is cracking that skull in this one.

And then rejuvenated Wlad will blast out and out class his former sparring partners in the next year and a half :D You know it deep down don't ya?? :D Life's a b**ch we know.
