Great to see Wlad slowly becomes the respect he deserves.

I'm not sure about the best heavyweight part (although Haye and Solis to some extent is a win over either K2 brother to stake that claim) but the second part tells me you must be a realist. We don't get to many of those around here. Nice breath of fresh air.

With that being said Wlad has done enough to warrant being on the back end of the p4p list. He deserves it despite the fact that his fights are about as exciting as watching paint dry.

If he was American he would be no.1.

Do you honestly think Floyd would be as fast as he is if he was a true Heavyweight? With the added size comes punching power but much less speed.

Holyfield gets extra points for his work at lower weights.

I find it odd that Tyson, Holyfield, and even Bowe were very highly placed on the p4p lists.

Compare that to Lewis, who managed, I think only no.8. Now, tell me is there anyone who thinks lewis is not ahead of the above mentioned trio in the historical HW rankings? Maybe a few would think so, but I guess not many.

This just tells you how it is difficult to crack Ring's p4p, whatever it is based on, if you are a HW who is not an American. I consider WK's ranking even more amazing given that he is even more boring that Lewis.

True but it also depends on who you are competing with in the P4P rankings and perhaps Lewis had the superior competition in the late 90s than Holyfield, Tyson and Bowe in the early 90s.

could be, but it is probably more about excitement (or coming up in weight in Holy case) on top of being American. the weights put on Holy, Bowe, and Tyson in p4p consideration are unrealistic when compared to those put on Lewis and WK.
