Is that the name he fought under, in order not to be barred from competing due to his medical suspension...??
He is aiding someone to roadblock his future standings as an all time great and he doesn't realise it.. Wladimir is not going to get as much universal recognition until he holds all of the titles, he would slice off that WBA strap from Valuev with ease tommorrow, but the problem lies with that last portion.. In a few weeks his brother has a great opportunity to win Samuel Peters WBC belt and Wlad will be in his corner while he does it.. If Vitali wins, Wlad will be one belt short of greatness for as long as his sibling holds it.. Be it 6 months or 2 years, its valuable time he could be defending the unified championship proper.. He will never be accepted as a great until he rests that last peice of the pie... He is creating his own roadblock in Berlin, and its a shame.. He will NEVER face his brother and his brother will be preventing him from cementing a place that to be honest he will have deserved....
Hmmm... I don't think having a better chin makes you a better fighter... :think [/edit] Excellent post :thumbsup
A serious fight? I doubt the fight would look much different than Wlad/Ibragimov. Chagaev's not gonna outbox Klitschko. That's for sure. Nobody can outbox Wladimir. That leaves no option other than going for the KO. You think Chagaev would stop Wladimir? I don't.
Wladimir's on his way to being p4p, all he has to di is keep winning and unify a title or 2 more and clean out the division, it's the gameplan Roy Jones used at LHW and it worked well for him.
Wlad is the best of very bad bunch, unlike Tyson and Holmes who fought in weak divisions, he doesnt dominate his oppenents, and has found himself knocked out by 3 journeymen along the way. I think Wlad needs to keep winning, like Holmes did, but Wlad has another 4 and a half years of not losing to meet Holmes' 7, something I doubt Wlad will be able to do. Wlad currently is no where near the top 20 P4P since 95, though he just makes my top 20 list currently.
Corrie Sanders was the only one who really stopped him. The other 2 absorbed ungodly amounts of punishment and then basically tipped him over cuz he had nothing left. Now I turn the question towards you again. Having not lost a fight in 4 years, having Emmanuel Steward in his corner, not having stamina issues, having a solid defense, and knowing that all he has to guard against is the KO cuz his boxing skills are head and shoulders above everyone else, how would Wladimir lose to Chagaev?
Who said Wladimir would lose to Chagaev? Not me, I said he'd give him a serious fight, and he would. Have you seen Chagaev fight? He is better than Sam Peter IMO, better than anyone on Wlad's resume. If he caught Wlad, he could beat him. It is a distinct possibility. I give Chagaev a very good chance.
In the ATG-HW he is top15-20 IMO, if he unifies he is Top10 You either know nothing of the history of the heavyweight division, or have an internet connection in your asylum ward.
