wladimir should go down as a hall of famer, he deserves it because it's not his fault the division is poor. he wouldn't fair well at all against the other great boxers.

He would be a small cruiser, or with todays 'weight tricks' he maybe just could make 175 a day before the fight.
Louis definately would be a cruiser these days, been under 200 in many world title fights.

a light heavyweight with a heavyweight punch. hasn't boxing taught you yet that some big guys punch like bitches, and some smaller guys punch like ****ing steam trains. wladimir would ****ing **** himself if rocky was hunting him down like a dog he does. you need movement, you need speed, and i'm not sure if the jab alone from wladimir would stop rocky coming in with that ducking style he used.

vitali couldn't beat an old, rusty, overweight lennox lewis. vitali is good, but he wouldn't do that well against former greats. if he was that great then he would of easily of beaten that version of lennox lewis he fought. he foughtt he worst possible lennox lewis, and he still managed to lose. what does that suggest to you?

Not much of a Lennox Lewis fan, jus found it funny how he said it in a post fight interview....Because he is a white european and humble, American fans cant relate and dont give him much credit..and by the way im from Clumbus, Ga. so im not some crybaby foreigner

. I think Rocky would be able to beat him, but I guess he would walk upon something he never walked on before... That's also why I think Big George would use him like a basketball like he did with Frazier.

Im sick and tired of hearing the name 'Klitschko' in the same sentence as 'Hall of Fame'

Why the **** would you even DREAM of putting him in the same category of the great gores of the ring.....such as Ali, Joe Louis etc.....

he may have had a more consistent number of wins in recent years than he has done previously, but thats largely down to effective management and training provided by Emmanuel Steward......

and even so...the likes of the 'top ranked' contenders he has faced.....ibragimov, tony thompson, ruslan chagaev, sam peter, apparently 'FAST' eddie chambers...

PLEASE DONT MAKE ME CRINGE ANY FURTHER.....

ali defeated fighters that would most probably rule the division if they were in operation today....

LISTON, FRAZIER, FOREMAN, NORTON to name the major scalps......even fighters like ron lyle and earnie shavers would have been too much for klitschko

i respect what klitschko has achieved, and every warrior who steps into the ring as a professional demands unconditional respect, but you cannot be serious about where he is being placed in terms of his stature in boxing history

lennox lewis (who i dont think quite makes top 10 ATG heavyweight), was an excellent champion, who beat everyone that was around in his era (just like klitschko), but the difference is....when he got beat, he defeated the same fighters in REMATCHES.....and even towards the end of his career, with his motivation and skills dwindling, he still gave the BETTER klitschko, VITALI....a great fight, (you can argue all you want about what would have happened minus the cut to klitschko, fact remains a PEAK lewis would have ****ed him up even worse)

Please, dont sell the heavyweight division so short, by putting wlad into a HOF category....

imagine another six rounds with the condition his face looked. he should of been thanking the doctor stopping the fight, not complaining. vitali wouldn't of won the fight anyway. he done well, but he blew it when he wasn't able to finish lennox off in that second round. near the end, it was vitali holding on to lennox staggering over the ring when the uppercuts were landing for lennox. wasn't looking good for vitali, put it that way.

Imagine Vlad getting into the ring with a prime Mike Tyson. I think it would be a repeat of Tyson-Bruno II.

i think it's speaks volumes that vitali would of needed a 39 year old version of lennox to actually have a chance of beating him, yet you're talking about vitali beating even greater fighters while in their prime. pathetic.

Don't think so... Bruno was known for having a weak chin for such a huge guy, Vitali has an excellent chin. A prime Tyson would probably have won though.
By the way... Tyson - bruno II was when Mike was far past it.

Completely agree. Boxing is one of the few sports where fans seem to think that time stands still, but, as with every other sport, it doesn't.

Ali's style relied on being taller than most of his opponents. He was a ranged fighter, employing the jab and then moving away from his opponent and keeping him out of reach. Against a significantly taller and larger foe, who also happens to be a superb athlete with an excellent skill set and tremendous power that would not work. Ali would constantly be pulling back into Wladimir's range, and as you pointed out rope-a-dope would be suicidal.

Foreman has the power to turn the fight around, but he was far too slow of foot and his punches were too wide when he was younger. He'd be eating jabs, rights, and hooks all night until he got stopped.

Louis and Marciano are great fighters, but Joe would be a cruiser today, the man is smaller than Tomasz Adamek and stylistically is actually quite similar and I don't see many people picking Tomasz over Wlad. Marciano would just get smashed.
