McLine, he was so scared and quit on his stool after getting hit for the first time which was in the 9th round, Wlad was as tentative and looked as bad as last night. McLine had never done anything up to that point othe rthan beat an obscenly heavy and statuesque Briggs.

 

I thought he fought way to conservativly that's the way Manny wants him to fight though. Wlad has the weapons to fininsh that fight if he wanted to, but on the other hand Wlad didn't really take any decent head shots so his plan works.

 

then i feel sorry for sam peter in a rematch. i mean, he couldn't ko a glass chin. who's only offensive weapon according to you is a jab. poor sam tisk tisk tisk.

 

If the ref had done his job he would have dq`d wlad for holding Peter like an octopuss rather than to fight.

 

Wlad did what he had to do - I've seen many greats in these kind of fights.. he had to win it, and did it safely and easily. No need for taking risks in that kind of fight. Wlad: Fight Peter/Maskaev -> Povetkin -> Chagaev/Valuev.

Klitschko just needs to get the mandatories out of the way as soon as possible...he should fight within 4 months time. He has no excuses not to; he didn't get touched in the fight with Sultan which is a testament to his skill. With that said, he needs to live up to his word to fight as soon as possible and he has no excuses not to fight within 120 days! He isn't going to be able to negotiate another unification with a few weeks, therefore he needs to give Thompson his shot. He will blast Thompson out in short order, so he can continue with the negotiates for the winner of Valuev and Chagaev...I am not getting my hopes up of Wladimir fighting any time soon. Clearly, Klitschko is the class of the division...FIGHT MORE OFTEN!!!

 

Chalk it up as a technical shut out and bad styles type of fight. Wlad was content to win easy. Ibragimov did not want to risk getting knocked out.
