Who exactly is working their way into mandatories? Other than Stivernne and Arreola, what other top ranked contender fought another one recently?

Fury is all talk....he publicly calls out Wlad and Haye, but in private his team turns them both down.

Now, is it possible Fury really wants to fight them right now, and his team won't allow it?? That's possible I suppose. But if that is the case Fury knows this and should just keep his mouth shut.

Fury and Pulev are two that spring to mind.

The rest are simply a step below, unless you count Haye and Chisora.

That being said, Wilder is fighting Chisora, and with Pulev fighting Fury, there's two good fights involving contenders (though Wilder is still more of a prospect in my eyes)

    Povetkin is fighting Wlad (mandatory).

Haye also is working himself into a mandatory. Sure, he's talking his ass off (as usual), but he knows the only way to get a title shot is to work himself into a mandatory. Hence, he's fighting Charr. Now, I don't rate Charr, but having fought Vitali, he's pretty much classified as a top ranked contender.

So, there's Haye having fought 2 of them, Fury took on Cunningham and now Pulev, Povetkin IS the mandatory, although he could have took more difficult defences of his paper strap.

    Chisora would fight anyone, anywhere.

Wilder (taking too big a step up?) is fighting Chisora.

There's nobody else out there. Price is pretty much 're-building'.

I personally think if Chisora beats Wilder, he should get a shot at Wlad's belt. Unlikely, but it's either that, Fury/Pulev winner, or yet another bum.

Fury is all talk. He's trying to build his profile.

That equals more money, and more money. Not only that, it's also likely to boost him in his quest for a title shot.

He'll scream anyone's name to get himself exposure, but he and Hennessy have a path picked out to work him into a Mando.

Sure they will  Povetkin was a mandatory like 3 years ago, was set to make 4 mil (career high payday by far) and walked away twice, saying he wasn't ready.

Tell me, what other contenders that aren't **** are actually TRYING to fight other contenders to become a mandatory? The only instance we've seen in a while is Arreola/Stiverne.

When Teddy Atlas was training Povetkin he kept Povetkin away from Vlad. Told Povetkin he could not beat Vlad. Povetkin was the 2004 gold medalist. Vlad will also fight the winner of Pulev/Fury. He was going to fight Seth Mitchell, so many were saying that Vlad had no chance against Mitchell, and now they are claiming that Wilder is the greatest heavyweight of all time. Compare Wilder's opponents with Vlad's. Hell, look at how many world champions and undefeated fighters Vlad has fought. Vlad won all the belts, except Vitali's WBC belt. After Vitali knocks Stiverne out, he should go ahead and knock Wilder out, HBO would show that fight for sure.

Wlad is not a disgrace but his last few opponents have been for a champion.

You lot should question David Williams aka chef why Vitali Klitschko is ducking Haye. Vitali is all bark no bite.
