Again that is just ignorant. The man picked up most of the losses while fighting injured during the Great Depression.

During his final run he was 7-1-1. In this run he collected great-excellent wins against Max Baer, Tommy Farr, John Henry Lewis, and Art Lasky.

Louis was the only man to beat him in this run, and the only man in his entire career to put him down for the count. A familiar pattern with Louis.

It's hilarious that a guy defending Wlad can't accept the notion of a fighter evolving and improving under different conditions.

    Who did Oqendo ever beat?

Galento performed well against one of, if not THE greatest heavyweight of all time

How did Oquendo do against Wladmir or Vitali?

From July 37 to July 40 Galento was 12-2 (12 KOS) in his prime run as a serious contender.

    Among his victims:

    RING#1 Lou Nova TKO14
-Nova looks excellent on film with two shocking knockouts over Max Baer that earned him the number one contender spot. Vaunted power and offensive skills. Great jab.

    RING #3 Nathan Mann KO2
-Mann had wins over Pastor and Godoy and only previously had been stopped by Joe Louis.

    RING#7 Leroy Haynes
-Eratic but dangerous puncher with two KO wins over the giant, Primo Carnera.

    RING#9 Al Ettore TKO 8
-Was on a hot run of 12-2-1 coming off a disputed close trilogy with all time great John Henry Lewis, and a knockout loss to Joe Louis.

Harry Thomas TKO 3-A tough journeyman who had only been stopped by Schemling and Louis in 15 losses.

Oquendo's claim to fame is actaully running from Chris Byrd in a disputed a loss. He never beat a rated contender in his career. He was knocked out by Ruiz as well and lost to an ancient Holyfield.

Where have I defended wlad ? I have compared 2 fighters with poor opposition with Louis' being against far less skilled fighters.
I have called wlad cowardly in his style, abysmal to watch,I am not a woad fan,a tua fan or a rachman fan

Cool, you aren't a fan of anybody.

Can you demonstrate some cognitive ability and accept the injured Braddock who didn't belong in the ring an dlost to John Henry Lewis was different from the healthly Braddock who beat John Henry Lewis?

Do you believe all things happen in a cosmic vacuum and fighters are incapable of improving if their health and training methods improve? Is everyone's lot in life a straight line with no possibility for improvement, are people incapalbe of learning from experience, can you prove this horrible vaccum theory wrong and learn something?

Famous fight with Tommy Loughran for LHW Championship.

Beat #1 contender and legendary British Champion: Tommy Farr.

Beat Hall of Famer and future lineal LHW Champion and HW title challenger: John Henry Lewis.

Beat Hall of Famer Max Baer for lineal HW Championship in one of the greatest and most popular upsets of all time.

Beat several other noteworthy contenders. One of the most beloved and famous fighters of his era.

this is probably enough. against all odds win against dominant prime champ. that makes you famous - ergo that can get you into HoF like many others did in the same way. buster douglassed his ass.

if you have a multimillion dollar Hollywood sports biopic movie made about you, then you are clearly famous for something big, clearly the OP aint seen that movie.

Challenging for the lineal title in two weight divisons in a time that was very rare.

    Beating the lineal HW Champion.

Wins over two Hall of Famers, one while he was the reigning Lineal Champion, the other a future Lineal Champion.

An upset win over a top contender in his final fight.

    Its pretty cut and dry.
