Seriously.. he's already beaten the #2 heavyweight in the world, why do we need to see him do it again? It's not like a rematch between the two is really going to help the division at all. And supposing Chagaev decides not to take a fight with Klitschko and continues his goal of seemingly becoming the Zsolt Erdei of this crap division? Ring should just hand him the belt by default to be honest.

And atleast Ibragimov was someone that wanted to accomplish something in his division rather than hold tightly onto a worthless alphabet strap.

Chagaev has to fight his mandatory Valouev first anyway, Valouev is partly owned by Don King so Don King will never allow a fight with Vlad.

HBO was not able to get a commitment from King or Peter to fight Vlad and for good reason, King knows better.

Vitali will have to take King and Peter to court to force a fight. Vitali has an agreement from the WBC for this fight. Will Jose Sulaiman obey Don King or go by the signed legal document? He is very afraid of Don King, so perhaps Vitali will have to take Peter to court.

The powers that be are going to protect Peter and Chagaev at all costs. That's why it's stupid to depend on these people to decide whether or not Wlad's standing as heavyweight champion is " legitimate ".

Wladimir Klitschko is and has been the best for some time it's just his style and ethnic background that don't make more people realize how good he is and has been (imagine if he was from Philly what the press would say).

Let's not forget Lennox Lewis would not even fight him!

    No, he isn't.

He's probably the best. And if I had to bet, I'd bet on him coming out on top.

But I have a real issue with people being "appointed" champion, and not earning it.

Every other fighter in history that's been ranked top dog has got around promoters and the issues involved with them (Don King has been around for a very long time you know), why should Wlad be any different?

It will be a hard and long fight to get Peter into the ring.

how would a rematch between the 2 not help the division?

  8. If Wlad wants to unify sooner of later he will have to face Peter:deal Peter keeps on winning so they will have to Rematch, and Peter will Win by KO, or by DQ if you get a Ref with BALLS in there that won't allow Wlad to hold-hug and make him fight and if Wlad's fight's Peter he will get Knocked the hell out..:dead

Or Peter will disqualified because of rabbit punches.

Wlad will win the rematch by KO with the left hook. Peter was wobbled by Maskaev also by a left hook. And Wladimir throws a beautiful left hook.

I say to Peter and Don King; Where is your signature?

Vlad's left hook is the best in the heavyweight division. Peter will not be able to take it, much less his right hand, also the best in the heavyweight division. Emanuel Steward wants that fight very badly, so does Vlad. Vitali will probably have to force a fight with Peter though.

What more does he have to do to " earn " the title?

For starters the first fight wasn't even that good to begin with.. so that takes excitement out of the equation, the only other reasoning behind a rematch could only be significance, which it won't be especially if the two actually DO rematch Wladimir will beat him no differently than last time, except Wlad might finish Peter this time around.

Getting shut-out out by Wlad and having two unimpressive wins over a washed-up former middleweight gives you hope that Peter actually poses a threat to Wladimir? Not to mention equally unimpressive wins over McCline and a shot oldman like Maskaev who was a C fighter to begin with.

If people are relying on Wlad-Peter 2 to inject some life into the division you might wanna rely on someone other than Samuel Peter. He possesses qualities that people want in the HW division but he's really just no that impressive at all. As overrated as Chagaev and Ibragimov were/are I think Peter would run into problems with even those two.. especially after seeing how unimpressive he looked against a fighter like Maskaev, a fighter whom people almost universally said would get starched by Peter.

McCline really put the hurts on Peter and Vlad stopped McCline. However, Vlad would love to fight Peter again and Steward also wants this fight badly. They know they will beat Peter again, only more impressively, by knockout!!!!!!!

Talk is cheap, let's see the signatures on the dotted line by Peter.

By the way, Peter can't outbox Vlad and he can't out punch Vlad, Peter will be in some serious trouble if they fight. Vlad is a much better fighter now than he was before, but I also know something else.
