Lewis is the far better fighter.

I must say though, why is WK considered to have a heart the size of a pea? I've never seen anything to suggest that. A dodgy chin doesn't equal a heart problem. Quite the opposite, given what the man's achieved.

Wlad boxes stylistically like Lewis, but he lacks the toughness, mentality under pressure & sheer slugging ability of Lennox. Also, Lewis was a very dangerous rough fighter in the clinches, with devastating "holding & hitting" used to tag his unlucky opponents with clean bombs up close.

I suppose it was only gonna go one way with Klitites involved. But it had some good moments, they seemed to be some real progress until certain fanatics got involved.

    What!

    Oh this one you mean.
Yes mate everything i have said on this thread, but put more simply and dare i say in a better way.:good
The best point you make here and which has been overlooked is Lewis had an underrated inside game, he wasn't a great inside fighter, but he done enough. Aswell as stopping his man doing anything inside because of his weight and phenomenol strength, he would land hard hooks from awkward angles, and he loved the old Tyson like right hook to the body, right uppercut, left hook combo. Which was outstanding for a man of his size and showed great agility.
But yeah bud you summed up the differences between the fighters well.
Stylistically similar, but has fighters...not similar at all.

If Wlad fought in Lewis era he would have been a journeyman.

same was said about lennox. the similarities are big, not just fighting styles, but how they were received by the fans while they were fighting.

I agree that Lewis as of right now is a better version of Wladimir with slightly less power in his punches. If Wladimir could get his confidence in check though I think that he could be the better fighter.

    Really?

Power - Where's Wlad's Ruddock, Golota, Briggs, Grant etc? In 10 years how many stoppages has Wlad had under 6 rounds considering his level of opposition is universally recognised as being of a lesser standard than Lewis?
Also, I doubt Wlads top 5 opponents enters Lewis's top 5.

P4P and Record Wlad will always be below Lewis.

Wladimir didn't have the same guys to fight. But he did lay out Austin, Chambers, and Brock in his time. He didn't have the same quality of opposition as Lewis had. Though I agree with you that Lewis type five beat Wlad's top 5, I think that Wladimir would have beat the top 5 that Lewis defeated, though not as decisively as Lewis did.

True but Lewis has the harder right hand and Wlad the better footwork.

    :good

    Both great Champions.

Vlad has better balance, better jab, right hand, right hook, hook off the jab, better defense, and superior left hook and stamina.
