Perez can take a serious punch, has a serious punch, has serious skills and amateur pedigree, is a legit heavyweight, has balls. He would be the most dangerous opponent maybe since Sanders. He's got a better shot than Pulev. :deal

Wlad will fight in March and then probably will take 4/5 months absence because of the World cup in Brasil. I doubt there will be world defense in the summer with everybody occupied by the world cup.
If he fights Pulev it wil be in the autumn or winter 2014.

Wlad is getting older I dont think he can avoid father time anymore. He has 2 years before his fights get riskier and riskier. He will be 38 in march and 39 by the time he fights Pulev.

I can see Wlad fighting Leapai and then he will want to Unify the World titles and become undisputed champion.

I can really see him retire if he becomes undisputed

Im sure a 38 y/o Wlad would relish the opportunity to fight an undefeated future titlist.

A guy who almost undoubtedly go on to win multiple titles and excite fans for yrs to come.....ie Fury.....

Book is still truly out on Wilder.....Ive seen him shaken waaaaaayyyy too hard by jabs and soft shots by Cans and Journeyman.

But Fury....he's almost bonafide. He needs a Chagaev, or that Haye fight, or Adamek....he needs a former titlist who is still relevant to boost his resume to A level. But either way, Wlad would love to get that fight.

But, this makes me look back 15 yrs ago.....Wlad was a young moving HW pursuing Lennox Lewis.....he beat all the gatekeepers, the former titlists, and then he got his title. The WBO, which Lewis was not interested in.

Wlad then got blasted out by Sanders, and the fight instead materialized with Vitali. The 37 y/o Lewis passed the torch to Vitali, while going out on his shield, with a W, albeit a close call, technically, as it could have just as easily been ruled a TD6 in favor of Vitali.

Point is, does Wlad need a Fury or a Wilder to cement his legacy.....I don't think he does. I think he wants them but theyre not necessary for his ATG standing, which wouldnt go N of 10 or S of 5 with those wins. If he's gonna become a legend, a top 3 type ATG, he's already done that, it's just a matter of it sinking in with the fans, same as being rated lower than 10.

Does Fury or Wilder needs Wlad????? Well, how many top 10 ATGs did Wlad beat???? And Vitali, who looms looking just outside the top 10 and can only graduate into the top 10 by perhaps breaking Big George's age record?????

Niether guy beat a top 10, but still, without any shadaow of doubt, theyre top 15s. I don't think Fury or Wilder need a K2. They just need to do as well against the Pulevs and Ruiz Jrs and Perez's as they've done against the Johnson's and the Audley Harrisons. If they keep winning, even with an L here and there, they could make a place for themselves in ATG company.

Only time will tell I guess, and Im not making predictions, just saying, that these young guns who look like revealed prophecy to some of us fans, don't necessarily need to actually fulfill any boxing scriptures to fit the mold.:think:think:think

The only thing that matters at this point is getting the WBC belt. Then he can retire.

Sorry, I think you are wrong. Perez is just too short to compete with the big guys like Wladimir or Pulev. In an eventual match with Wlad, you would see Perez being clinched, leaned onto and thrown around just as Wlad did with Povetkin. You need a tall and big guy to defeat Wladimir or simply it is not happening.

I don't know what you're beefing me about now. Pulev said the fight is a way off and he is looking at a fight with Chisora to remain active. Leapai has to recover from injury.

Are you saying this is not the case?

Leapai fight would be a joke. Anybody who saw Boytsov v Leapai knows that. Those guys are not TOP50 heavyweights in the world.

Chisora would be a joke too. He has been terrible even though he has lost weight.

Pulev deserves to fight Wladimir next. Fury and Wilder would be okay too.

its the "duck quack quack" siht that drives me crazy...... you think you know what wlad is doing or not doing based on another fighters comments or a sports writers words. its all speculation until a fight is announced:deal

    siht is old already
