I think you're right, Wlad said Haye would be no. 50 didn't KO him and then KO'd the slicker French Tyson for no. 50 and Tony Thompson for no. 51 surely?

 

the french Tyson didn't count, that was a DQ for being such a horrendous mismatch

 

Boxrec still list it as a KO so that wouldn't work. Although I agree with your point

 

Mormeck was definitely KO number 50, I was at the fight and the pre-fight video made lots of references to it.

Boxrec must have ****ed up somewhere!

 

One of his older fight was DQ but it was incorectly listed as KO win for Wlad in boxrec.

They just corrected the mistake

he must have.. But i believe since boxrec had him at 49 stoppages before Haye and Mormeck, all other sources also had so..
Nobody on this site or in the media told him "Hey Wladimir, Haye can't be your 50th KO, because you only have 48!"

 

Good thing for boxrec, otherwise, Wladimir would never know how many knockouts he has had.
