I think it does. The level of fighters who a champion of the WBO defends against is just as good if not better than the other titles. The WBO has been around for 22 years now. It should be regarded as a real belt I think. Also Thomas Hearns was the first champion of the WBO.

I also consider Wladimir the WBA Champion since he beat Chagaev.

Me too. Wladimir is the true WBA champion. He beat the real WBA champion in Chagaev. All other things with Valuev and Gaye were King's manipulations.

WBO might not be any worse than big 3 these days but when Wlad won it in early 2000, no one considered it a real title

wlad was omitted...thats why i said u cant count his defeneses or anyone else....i didnt count moorer because he won real titles and wasnt recognized as a champion until he had done so....no one on the planet considers moorer a 3 time heavyweight champ. why? because they dont count the WBO.....
and no one considers lmon brewster a former heavyweight champion of the world. as HBO always has stated "we here at HBO dont recognize the WBO, thus never advertised or aknowledged them...even with their own love child in DLH...whos first 2 belts were "wbo"
tyson was undisputed champ until douglas...then douglas kos him...then holyfield kos him...then bowe beats him..... and moorer wins the WBO belt from bert cooper and i dont ever rememeber 1 person calling him champ...the champion was bowe back then. fif u got a WBO belt the first 10-15 years pretty much meant u chose not to fight the legit champion or champions

tell me this...if it was so legit...how come they call hopkins the undisputed champion for so long? when he never had a WBO belt until DLH robbed sturm of it?
because it was a crap belt....

Wlas has not fought Vitali. Had he fought Vitali he may have never been considered champ.

How do you fight a fighter that runs away from fights? Fact is that Wlad fought all the high ranked avaliuable fighters he possibly could.

Unless he beats Vitali he is not completely dominant.

His choice but you cannot have it both ways.

As it stands Tyson and Lewis are in a different category.

    At heavyweight?

There's only been 1 as far as I'm aware. And the WBO guy lost.

The WBO belt holder has only been allowed to attempt to unify for a very short period of time. Can't recall who the first guy was, but that's why Sanders dropped the belt to fight Vitaly.

Ummm, I don't think you are right on this one.

You might want to check Witherspoons record.

Dokes come along after Holmes as a real threat.

And Page lost 5 of 7 fights during Holmes title run.

Are you sick in the head?

The lineage of Lewis' title arguably goes all the way back to Floyd Patterson and @ the very minimum back to Larry Holmes.

How far back does the lineage of Wlad's title go?

Using this logic, Joe Calzaghe is the WBA HW champion...
