Perhaps what he ment is that it sounded to much like a sentence from school than from real life (just a guess, english isn´t my first language either)

He has great english. I'm surprised. I've seen Wladimir fight a lot, and I've rarely seen him talk. I have no idea how that happened.

 

it depends on the person: schwarzenegger couldn't even speak proper german (because he is from southern styria), other german native speakers are doing much better, like dirk nowitzki and heidi klum.

Technically there's nothing wrong with the sentence... except everything.
Wlad's diction and speech patterns are fairly consistent with Eastern Europeans who learn English

 

I waited about an hour for this interview to be on ESPN First Take as it was advertised but basketball, the draft, and everything got in the way so I had class and ended up missing it.

 

No way does he want to punish him for 12 rounds. That's merely a PR promo line.

Wlad wants to take him out as soon as possible. The longer Haye is in there, the danger of Wlad losing is still there.

Regardless of what he says to the press, I think we'll see Wlad get on Haye, and get on him hard, and fast.

I think Haye will be knocked by by round 7, at the very latest. Possibly as early as round 4.

You could also substitute "he is to" for "he better"
