I count from when he beat Povetkin finally beating a #2 contender when he's the #1 contender (how new lineage begins...). It's reasonable, I suppose, to count from Chagaev, like Ring. But people who are counting from whenever he picked up a random alphabet, is deluding themselves. Nonsense.

 

Well it's not impossible but it would call for luck - for example, if Tyson Fury beat Wlad, and then defended the title twenty times (not happning just an example) then he would have defeated the REAL champ and staged twenty defences.

That's the point though. Beat the BEST and then defend the title. If you can just defend your shitty little belt thirty times and pretend you've done better than Louis, that's a joke, that's stupid.
