Wladimir Klitschko held an Open Training and Media Day at the boxing school in Ukraine where he was brought by his brother Vitali when he was a kid. Wladimir's frist trainer Valerii Zolotarev was also in attendance and had a short "sparring session" with Wladimir. After that the champ turned his attention to children for a boxing work out.

Wladimir also spoke with the media after the work out and announced that he is close to signing a deal with David Haye for a unification fight that is scheduled for July 21 at a venue in Europe (England or Germany).

I think Vitali will school Solis and Vlad will school Chisora and Haye.

Careful now Wlad, you wouldn't want one of those children's punches missing the pad and exposing your disgraceful glass jaw again...

Nice :good it's great to see champs helping and inspiring the kids, However i don't think wlad is the best coach, not many people are going to have the physical adavantages to benefit from his style. I think b-hop would be the best coach out of all current fighters

:good Wlad reminds me a bit of Floyd Patterson in that he is always nice and respectful and a good person.

I don´t think B-Hop would be a good trainer. He would demand the same dedication and boxing intelligence he brought to the table. And, honestly, even amongst the professional boxer this is very rare. He would exhaust his pupils and be constantly dissapointed by him because his expectations would be too high. I´d love him and Roy Jones becoming a commentator team though. That would be awesome.

This reminds me of, well, I think I remember one of our classic posters, John, saying...and I may have this completely wrong, but, that Willie Pep was a horribly temperamental trainer when he tried it and seemed to be unable to grasp that his pupils couldn't do what he used to. ...Not too much pressure on a young fighter. :scaredas:

:-( Wlad titty-twisters are life threatening. That's not right, man.

Well, yeah, that´s very much what I thought. Great fighterswill only rarely make great trainers since they expect their students to be as good as them. And they just won´t be. Think about it, which of the great trainers was also a great fighter?

When looking at those photos I was getting a running dialog in my head with a Ukrainian accept.

"Hahaha! This next generation is coming along splendidly! They will crush those lazy, fat Americans! Hahaha!"

Looks like Wlad "bished" out of the Haye fight! I know he prefers fighting smaller fighters but this is stooping to a new low. the ginger haired guy working his pads look half his size....damn!
