Wladimir Klitschko pays for treatment of his former rival

I've always got the feeling Wladdy is a decent guy.

Boring as **** to watch occasionally. LoL, but a champ none the less.

 

As a boxer for nearly every fight I've seen aside from AJ he's been godawful. But as a human being he's someone you look up to and strive to be like. Unlike some 40 year old's here that spend time stalking, reading 30 pages of boxing forum posts, and hold grudges, Wlad has a PhD, is clearly educated, and is just a model citizen.

 

A PhD kinda just shows you can study and have the time and funds spare to allocate towards your study really. People usually do them because they dont have to commit to working, though they need some degree of genuine academic interest too.

But its impressive for a HW boxer to have one for sure. He possesses that duality that generally other HWs dont have. Its one of those few characteristics that he shares with Lewis.

Keeping to the thread topic, being superficialy aware of debilitating conditions from hs studies probably helped him empathise with this MS guy.

 

I've given a lot of stick over the last couple of days to the Wlad, but that's only a reaction to people saying he is a top 5 ATG or is the equal to Lennox Lewis.

But I think he is a great person. I mean, I just think back to the time Derek Chisora spat water in his face, how did he find the restraint to not react or knock him out? I was furious just watching that. For me, that shows the measure of the man, that he remained calm enough to not react to an assault. A good man outside the ring.

I mean I don't know him personally, so you can never really be certain, but my instincts tell me he is a good egg.

 

Yeah the stuff from Tardclouds and Dinovelvet in the retirement announcement thread on here was pretty shameless and low class.

He had many stinkers but not true about all of them aside from AJ. That's too far ellerbe.

Lol gotta love dino. The guy makes me laugh. I think blackclouds is a pretty objective poster too, though most of his posts I've seen are RBR posts.
