If Wlad beats Tyson, gets all the belts after giving wilder is overdue beat down and then mauls that fraud Joshua, then surely he surpasses muhammed ali, as the greatest HW resume.

He'd have effectively taken on three generations of fighters

Take away all the shuffling and showing boating in the ring, along with the politics at the time, and muhammed ali's record ain't ****ing **** compared to wlad's.

Tyson (at least the one you're referring to), isn't such a big name on Wlad's resume.
Neither will Wilder prove to be, and maybe Joshi will.

    They're all undefeated

How can you say wilder(who is wba champ) will not be a big name on his resume, yet joshua will?

    You make no sense son.

When he has 26 straight lineal title defenses he'll be the best ever. When he beats as many ATG's he'll be second best. When he beats as many greats rounding out the rest of the next 7 and erases his his losses to two fringe contenders we can put him at number 9. Till then given the xomp he's had to fight I'd say number 10 is pretty respectable. Great longevity gets him to where is is, but lets not ever pretend beating Fury, Wilder and Joshua catapults him to the greatest ever, thats just nonsense!

My point is he is taking on the best of this generation.

When I say fraud, I do not just mean in the ring ability, but in terms of the hype to talent conversion. They make out some of these guys are killers when they are still fighting bums

Anyway Muhammad Ali is the most overrated fighter of all time.

Let's wait until he does all that. Personally I don't expect a Wlad vs Wilder fight ever to come into fruition. Wilder vs Joshua is more likely at one point and the winner will go his own way. Kinda like Stevenson or Cotto. WBC likes to have his own champions.

I think Wlad's ATG status is largely out of his hands now. If the people he has beaten go on to do great things, then he will be thought of even more highly. If they don't do much, then he probably stays where he is right now in people's estimation.

Wladimir Klitschko is a legend. He has already surpassed some HW greats. The sky is the limit for him. It is hard to imagine that The Bronze Bambi will fight him. He is feasting on guys barely making top 25. I cannot expect he would change that soon if at all.

No. Boxing greatenss is very subjective and a lot of it comes down to who you beat. Wlad just doesn't have the "who" to surpass Ali.

I currently have Wlad at seven, and can see him as high as six or as low as nine. Really I wouldn't disrepsect anyone's oppinion who had him 6-15. If he got to 26 defenses, he would be in the top five for me, but even this is contingent on a lot of things.

-How do you work in guys in guys like Harry Wills who were only allowed to fight of the "negro" belt?

-How does the "Evan Fields" controversy effect Holyfield's status (who would otherwise be numbr 2 for me)?

-Is it more important to have has a great series with another guy who you can call "great" or to have beaten a series of top contenders?

-Do Wlad's prime losses count more or it is overall winning percentage?

    Etc. Etc.

Love the guy, but he just has no path to number 1, barring a freakishly long reign that sees him annihilate Louis record.
